They both have tremendous talent. I would have to say that Will Poole will be. He has tremendous amount of talent. If it was not for some character issues, then he would have been a first day pick. Either way it is a close call.

I hope both are equal and are as good as Sam and Pat. I voted Travis though because I like his size and tackling.

Really hard to say who is going to have a better career. Daniels played well last year, and is only going to get better. If Poole can stay healthy, and be the kind of player he was at USC, then we`re going to have two stud corners for a long time. Poole has tremendous potential...I just hope he stays healthy.

Actually, I think Will Poole is a little more proven......he shut down a top 3-4 WR and he tackles like a LB.....................

I'm excited to have both but I think Poole could be a perrenial pro bowler.

As rookies, both proved to have value and upside. BUT I'm going with Poole cause Daniels had the advantage of already knowing the system.
And Poole has the upside over Daniels speaking of natural physical ability.

The knock on him is if he'll adapt well to Saban's system. If he does, he has the potential to be a pro-bowler. IMO Daniels will be a very solid #2 corner for us, though not Pro-bowl material, well I hope I'm wrong on this one.

Careful how you say we're going to have them "for a long time". With the new breed of agents, sometimes the players have long careers, but with different teams. What I really hope is for Will and Travis to become good-to-great DBs, always flying under the radar, until they sign their third contract, then they officially become labeled studs by the NFL prognosticators. By that time, us Dolphinites will have known that for years...

Reading all these post about Will Poole made me go back and watch some games of 2 years ago to remember exactly what type of player he was. First off I strongly don't recommend anyone do this as its extremely painfull to watch the only bright spots is counting the games till Wanny quits.

I was actually dissapointed Poole is not used a lot, plays mostly nickel and sometimes goes in for Madison. I saw him make a few tackles and only 1 sack (no int and I verified on NFL.com). Not sure if its him or the team but he does miss a few open tackles then again so did everyone that year. His Pro Day workout numbers were 16 reps and 4.5 with a 33.5 Vertical leap these are good but not amazing. I did not see him play at USC but the way some of you talk about him he must of been amazing. I see him as a decent corner with great run defense ability as when he hits he does hit hard. His speed 4.5 is not great and with the Injury I can't see it getting better he might have problems with Players like Lee Evans and such who are natural burners.

Travis Daniels numbers at Pro Day were 4.55 & 37 Vertical Leap. Daniels did clock a 4.48 on Astro Turf prior to the draft. this does concern me as both our corners aren't extremely fast but he does play fast. If we only compare numbers Daniels has better Leap but runs a slower 40.

When I opened the link I was going to vote Poole hands down but I think the experience and mental toughness that Daniels showed in his rookie season stepping up and becoming the #2 corner of the team and playing extremely well (I only recall him getting burned by Smith and Evans then again they burned our entire secondary in their games). Again this is my opinion but I think Daniels plays faster then his speed and seems to be always at the right place to make a play. I hope they both become Pro Bowlers but if I had to bet my money would be on Daniels.

A this point I would say Poole. Hopefully they both will be great. Saban is going to rebuild our secondary and the guys coming in will be just as good as Madison and Surtain in a few years.

At this point right now you have to say Daniels because we've seen more of him and he showed us more. But, I think the better talent at the draft was Poole. Poole used to match Chambers step for step in practice so that tells you the type of ability he once had. It all depends on how he bounces back but if he can return to his old form, I would defintly take him over Daniels.

...If you watched the SNF game vs Cinncy you would see a dominating performance when he started in place of Surtain, Poole has potential to be really "great".....Daniels though may be the safer bet ecspecially since the injury..........
