Who u ask...

... Carlson Palmer. Seriously, think Sage isn't going to hurt us anymore then Gus. And what's the sense of keeping someone as a 3rd string if you don't think they have the ability to ever move up?? If Sage can't come in and be productive then let him go too next year, and do some trading in the draft & get a good QB in the 1st & another in the 7th, someone who will push the 1st, but probably never would've started anywhere else either. I'll even say I'm ready to see Cleo, if things keep going the way they are. All the blames not on Gus, but some of these passes aren't even close.

Put me in. I'll hand the ball off to our stud running backs and we will crush the B-ROWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what, I am going to go with Gus. I truely think he gives us the better chance to beat the Browns. I don't care about the "Lets play the young guy and see if he is our future" statements. The fact is, Sage is not the future QB of this team. Lemon is not even the future of this team. Our future is going to be found this upcoming offseason, whether it be through FA or the draft.

Personally, I'd liek to see Sage start this weekend. Saban said he was going to keep the starting lineup and didn't want to make changes. Gus has a swollen index finger. Big whoop...

Well actually, if you picture how someone holds a football, you cradle the ball ball mainly wiht your thmb and your index finger. Gus has a very badly swollen index finger and this will disrupt his ball handling. Makes him prone to fumbles, bad release of the ball, thus, bad, inaccurate throws. He'll be battling the pain so don't be surprised, if he does play, he'll be forcing alot of throws, which is never a good idea. All this results in disaster for the offense and a field day for the opposing defense. (Pending further improvement of the injury) Now if Sage started the game....

Sage Rosenfels, backup quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. We haven't seen him start much. I noticed he is a free agent this year. So if we really want to see how he plays, this is the year to do it. I think with Gus's injury, it gives Sage the oppurtunity to shine. I believe Saban should start Sage. It gives us an excuse to play Sage. Like I said, Saban doesn't want to tamper with the starting lineups, but this serves as an excuse since he is ever so reluctant to switch quarterbacks (Which I do agree with, it destroys a team chemistry 85% of the time, exceptions such as Tom Brady and Kurt Warner). Besides, we're playing Cleveland. Starting Sage will give us a preview of who he may be in the future, if he has one. I don't know Saban's intentions with Cleo Lemon. What better of a team to test your backup quarterback agaisnt than the Cleveland Browns?

I don't know if Gus gives us the best chance to win, however I don't think any of these guys are our future QB. Sometimes you bring someone in though who wants to start so bad for so long, that they play above themselves and put up really good numbers. Sage could be that guy, and again, I don't think he can do that much worse then Gus.

We should start Sage bacause how about if he's really good and we draft a QB in the 1st when we could of used it for another need.

Do I hear an echo?

I'm liking the possibilities this weekend :) As long as I see solid quarterback play, no interceptions and few mistakes, supported by a strong running game, I'll be very happy.
