I don't care about the "Lets play the young guy and see if he is our future" statements. The fact is, Sage is not the future QB of this team. Lemon is not even the future of this team. Our future is going to be found this upcoming offseason, whether it be through FA or the draft.

Well actually, if you picture how someone holds a football, you cradle the ball ball mainly wiht your thmb and your index finger. Gus has a very badly swollen index finger and this will disrupt his ball handling. Makes him prone to fumbles, bad release of the ball, thus, bad, inaccurate throws. He'll be battling the pain so don't be surprised, if he does play, he'll be forcing alot of throws, which is never a good idea. All this results in disaster for the offense and a field day for the opposing defense. (Pending further improvement of the injury) Now if Sage started the game....
Sage Rosenfels, backup quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. We haven't seen him start much. I noticed he is a free agent this year. So if we really want to see how he plays, this is the year to do it. I think with Gus's injury, it gives Sage the oppurtunity to shine. I believe Saban should start Sage. It gives us an excuse to play Sage. Like I said, Saban doesn't want to tamper with the starting lineups, but this serves as an excuse since he is ever so reluctant to switch quarterbacks (Which I do agree with, it destroys a team chemistry 85% of the time, exceptions such as Tom Brady and Kurt Warner). Besides, we're playing Cleveland. Starting Sage will give us a preview of who he may be in the future, if he has one. I don't know Saban's intentions with Cleo Lemon. What better of a team to test your backup quarterback agaisnt than the Cleveland Browns?
