I was curious as to what the general consensus is of who people want with the first pick given we must keep it?
 
I'm 50/50 for the Longs. Picked Jake because of the O help. He could solidify our line for the next 10 years.
 
Love that sig. Just sent it to a buddy of mine who is a Bills fan and hates Mularkey as much as I do.

I think Matt Ryan is the pick. We need a franchise QB, and he's the best prospect in the draft. Could be our last chance to have a shot at a #1 QB for years and we don't want to waste it. I don't agree with those who say Ryan is not a #1 draft pick. He had success with a mediocre line, mediocre receivers and played in a system that is highly comparable to an NFL system. Not a spread offense that inflates numbers. Yes John Beck deserves a chance, but the smart plan is to assume he won't pan out.
 
After yesterday Chris Long has showed he is by far the best prospect in the draft.

We don't need a RB that can't stay out of trouble in his most important year of his life.

We don't need a QB that is only the top QB in the drft because its a weak QB class

Jake Long just scares me, blame in on Gallery I guess.

I wanted Dorsey, but C. Long has overwhelmed me.

# 1 to me is to high for Ellis
 
Chris Long, I don't know why people want Matt Ryan...he's over rated...he's just ilke Brady (Put some presure on him and he's not the same type of QB)

I dont know why people want him, or Mcfadden. Chris Long is the safest and best pick for us. If we were running a 4-3 id say Dorsey or perhaps Ellis but in a 3-4 both of them are too small and McFadden probably wont make much of an impact because of his vast inability to break tackles and his weak lower body which will kill him because from what i have seen he is an upright style runner. He also doesnt change hands with the ball when he runs to the outside so fumbles will increase greatly if he doesnt fix that.

i went jake long. i love chris long too, but his size scares me. just too small for an end in a 3-4. he seems to be a perfect fit for a 4-3 team, which we won't be.

the reason i picked jake is because we've had 0 luck with offensive linemen in FA. mcintosh, jeno james, etc, etc. we've needed o-line help for about a decade now and it is about time to get a franchise LT. plus we need to give beck some sort of realistic shot not to suck.

we've actually had luck with ends - bowens, ogunleye, carter, etc. so it doesn't make much sense to me to draft an end #1. but if JT goes, i don't know.

personally, i'd rather go QB, but none of this crop are close to #1 overall talent. we can get henne or woodson or whoever later. trade down all the way.

now I've heard it all!!! Someone is actually using a comparison to Tom Brady as a reason NOT to draft a QB. :sidelol:
