Who's performance in the 1st Pre-Season game just put them over the hump and earned them a spot on the 53-man roster?

Goodman was making the squad regardless. I would not have put him on there. He will get the majority of votes.

I would have to say that its still early to give someone a spot if they are on the fence but KJ and Fred did a real good job of getting a spot

I don't know if anyone secured a spot based on that one game, but I can tell Cliff Russel and Fred Gibson really want to make the team.

I would love to see Gibson make it but i dont think Gibson or Russel will get a spot on the 53 man roster.

I agree with you, but neither Goodman or Bell are starters, that's why I included them. And nothing is for sure. I mean, Goodman could beat out Bell or vice versa. But after Saturday night, I'd say they both solidified their spots.

And Goodman didn't get the majority of votes. Evans did.

With the addition of Big Daddy Wilkinson, I don't know if Evans will get the nod. If we only carry 3 DTs, Evans would have to beat out Traylor and Zgonina. Not impossible. But I don't think one game is gonna do it. Evans will have to prove he can do it again next week against Tampa Bay.

Also, I don't know if KJ Harris did enough to beat out Minor. Maybe if he broke a long one... I'm not saying he didn't have a good game, but he still has to prove more valuable than Barnes and Minor to make the 53-man roster.

With the loss of Will Poole, my vote goes to Jackson. I was hoping we'd see the last of him, but his experience and INT in the 1st game have secured his spot IMO.

no one earned a spot with 1 game

Cliff looked great the last 2 minutes, with Berlin behind the ball. Or was that Gibson? Preseason fades my mind but whoever it was deserves a spot if they keep that performance up.

I'd say that Bell and Goodman were already locks, and Evans helped himself, but I already expected him to make the team. We're trying to get younger on the D-line.

Fred Gibson had a big game, but he was mostly catching passes from Brock Berlin. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets more time with Cleo Lemon against Tampa Bay.

Gibson, Cliff Russell and Jason Willis all outshined Vick and Aromashodu. Who would have predicted that? But the big question is can they do it again?

Note to Kelly Campbell: You better dress next week.

I agree. But Wilkinson obviously makes the 53-man roster. However, there's no way Big Daddy can come in and start, so you gotta keep Traylor.

So do you take Evans over Zgonina and Vickerson? Or do we carry a 4th DT?

I thought Evans was great. I'd love to see him make the roster. I just don't know how it's gonna happen. The next couple of games might determine whether he makes it. If he continues to impress, there's no way you can't keep him. If he fades away, maybe he goes on the practice squad.
