I feel that when we get inside the 10, I expect not to score a TD. It just seems like Ronnie is a horrible goal line back and gus cant make short throws to the endzone.

I disagree with you on ROnnie being a horrible goal line back... He can't run it if we don't hand the ball off. We throw way to much when we are inside the 10... Excpecailly inside the 5. But I do agree with you that it seems like we kick FG more often then not when we are inside the 10!:(

Our numbers are not that bad in terms of how we do in the red zone. Not great but respectable and the offense has improved markedly in the last 9 quarters of football. Is it 80 points over 3 games - average of 27 points a game. At that rate we can win some for sure. If we beat the Jets that is 4 w's in a row. Not bad especially for December football.

Ronnie is not horrible at anything...

Ronnie is a rookie and has made some rookie mistakes. Keep in mind though...Ricky Williams, Heisman Trophy winner and NFL Rushing Title winner, is not outdoing him at anything.

:yeahthat:

Ronnie's not a horrible goal line back. He just doesn't get his number called very often when the team gets to the red zone.

Anytime we're in the red zone and don't score 7 I'm disappointed. That said;
it's more play calling issues right now, I think. Our O line has just gotten to the place where thy are playing at a non-disgracful level, but, we're sure not going to blow anyone off the line. That makes it hard to run in the red zone.

Red Zone Opps and TDs scored:
Ronnie 29/3TD receiving 4/0 TD
Ricky 19/1TD receiving 3/0 TD
Chris 23/5TD
Marty 3/0TD
Randy 15/3TD
Gus 54/8TD

Scoring Opps/TDs
Ronnie 15/4TD receiving 2/1TD
Ricky 7/3TD receiving 0/0TD
Chris 20/8TD
Marty 3/1TD
Randy 11/6TD
Gus 33/14TD

If we want to be one of the best teams in the red zone we need a top offensive line. We also need improved quarterback play. Booker deserves more looks as well.

Nope....I think you're in the minority here.

We never give Ronnie the ball at the goal line, or much at all it seems
