Browns
Texans
Redskins

Maybe the Rams?

Maybe he could beat out Fitzpatrick on the Jets or Smith on the Chiefs?

If RT were a 4th round pick making 2 mil/yr Matt Moore would be just about to take his job. That's sad.

Lol matt moore, ok...

But he would prob start for the browns, texans, rams, redskins, 49ers, jets, chiefs, eagles..

Can we please just stop the insanity? RT isn't going anywhere. Get used to it and move on. Do we really not have any other concerns on this team to discuss? I realize it's so much easier to fault one player, since it's hard to generate that much hate for multiple players at the same time, but can we all just admit we've jumped the shark and find something, anything, else to talk about?

jets, bills, chiefs, browns, texans, titans, eagles, redskins, cowboys (until romo), rams, 49ers.. put tannehill on a great defensive team like seattle, or denver or the bengals and he would be just fine..

will tannehill ever be rodgers or brady, i think we can agree he will not.. but keep in mind we had the best QB of all time in Marino and never won. this is the ultimate team game and our team is pretty bad. i keep posting it but on defense, other than Suh and Jones, who is any good

I like your point about Marino... it is scary, though, that even your generally optimistic post only lists about 10 teams - basically putting him in the bottom half of QB's when we all collectively had him ranked in the 10-15 range coming into the season. He's going to have at least 1-2 more seasons to try and change the perception, just because of his contract, but it hasn't been a good season for him and although it's a team game, he hasn't been doing enough in his job to elevate the team.

To answer your question about the defense, please don't forget Grimes who is mostly a very good player for us among a secondary of complete garbage.

I also don't think it's addressed nearly enough ANYWHERE, but football, more than any other sport, is about coaching. And Miami hasn't had really excellent coaches in over 20 years. Some years we've had a good coach, or good OC, or good DC, but we haven't had a great set of coordinators + head coaches in as far back as I can remember. And in a game with SO many variables and players, the most important thing is the coaching. This isn't the NBA, you could put any coach with Michael Jordan and have an elite team... but with football, you need all the moving parts to work together.

I dont really have a opinion on RT but your post jumped out at me because I read the exact same quote 5 years ago but it went like this:

"Can we please just stop the insanity? Chad Henne isn't going anywhere. Get used to it and move on"

If I am not mistaken Chad is a bagger at the local Fresh-Mart these days...nowhere near being a Pro Starter. RT may be closer to being Joe Montana than a grocery store cashier in the future, but at this moment...the Jury is hung.

Neither the Bills or the Titans would trade their QB for RT. Right now RT is in the bottom third of QBs especially with his salary.

What difference does it ****ing make? He's our QB. I would rather have him as our QB than to have Obama as our president. Either way it is what it is. Just stop already.

Ozzy rules

Marino did not play with the same quarterback/receiver favored rules that are in place today. He was scoring over 30 points most games. If we had Marino now we would consistently be in the AFC championship game.

I would say there are 15 teams that Tannehill could start for, but about 15 that he would be holding a clip board for. He is right in the middle, pretty average, but far from the worst,,,,just like our team who always finishes 8-8. Average.

I think he has a legit shot in the following cities.....

Dallas (until Romo returns)
Washington
Philly
Jacksonville
Houston
Chicago
Detroit
NY Jets
Buffalo
St. Louis
KC
San Francisco
Cleveland

I think there are other possibilities, but it would involve better coaching and team play around him.

Oh.....your Matt Moore comment is just wrong and sad.

He'd start for a decent amount of teams, not the biggest RT fan right now but a lot of teams do have it worse

Bills, Jets, Eagles, Redskins, Jags, Texans, Browns, Lions, Bears, 49ers, Rams
