im wonderin did the most yelling that game. the dolphins played go but i seriously hate playing catch up all the time. we should have had that one

Fire up speech is over rated.
May work in high school or college, not much in pro.

We are a very young team so did it fire up guys like Porter and JT? probably not. But I'm sure guys like Jake, Davone, Hartline and Cam Wake got something from it.

Who knows what goes on in that lockerroom, but I know this, Sparano gets pretty fired up. It's no secret this guy has a lot of passion for this game. To think this guy doesn't give a hell of a halftime speech is ridiculous. I bet you one reason why he hasn't been miked up during a game is because of his language. Halftime is no different I bet.

Sparano said, "HENNE! ACT LIKE YOUR EYE HURTS! PAT YOUR IN!"
hes a bad actor if thats the case.. He didnt act like anything was hurtin him.. it would have been more believable if he came out with an eye patch.. They would have been able to better hide that they were throwing the game

i guess thats why he is a QB in the NFL instead of an actor.

I think it depends on the coach. I think Sparano is going to get more fired up than most coaches, but that appears to be his style it's not right or wrong. Knoll, Dungy won without all the rah rah crap. In the NFL it's a chance to be the best, the paycheck, if they need a coach to get fired up maybe they should take up golf or something.

half time adjustments win games, not speeches. hell, a half time benching of a star works better than a darn speech. it doesn't matter what level: h.s., college, pro.

with that said, sparano acts like the type of no-sh-t guy that commands attention. motivational speeches are jokes for most people. but a demanding, authoritative coach who has respect can accomplish a lot with a few words (or even a look).
