Who gets listed as the 3rd QB ?

If we list White as the 3rd QB he can't be used unless Pennington and Henne are out for the rest of the game. So no wildcat with White. It might make more sense to list Henne as the 3rd when in reality he is the #2. That way you can use White in the wildcat and if anything serious happens to Pennington then you bring Henne in and White is done for the day as well.

the dolphins already said they only want to use White as just a QB and not wildcat right now with IMO that was a waste of a pick if we arnt going to use him as the wildcat QB

i hope henne. Pat needs to be active, if to not use the WC, but to make the other D prepare for it.

You can list White as the 3rd QB and he can go in and out of the game any time the coaching staff pleases with no penalties The rule applies only if you list him as a reserve QB essentially having a 46 man active roster at that point. The rule was established to prevent talent stashing on NFL rosters.

"Teams will be permitted an Active List of 45 players and an Inactive List of eight players for each regular-season and postseason game. Provided that a club has two quarterbacks on its 45-player Active List, a third quarterback from its Inactive List is permitted to dress for the game, but if he enters the game during the first three quarters, the other two quarterbacks are thereafter prohibited from playing."

If you make him active there is no problem at all.
