I live in Iowa and love the Fins but I'd like to know who has a future on this team? How are Matt Roth and Travis Daniels doing? Oh and someone told me we have good cap space. How much do we have?

I live in Iowa as well where do you live?

We could be I saw someplace way under the cap with room to spare next year.

Daniels can't stay on the field, and when he does he is average at best, I think you may see him at Saftey next year.

Roth has been playing, but you don't notice him much.

Ah cool I live in a small town. About 1 hour away from Iowa city, des moines, ottumwa, and cedar rapids.

Hey how about another Iowa fan in the mix. Roth and Daniels are on special teams right now. Roth gets his playing time on the defense and Daniels is coming back from knee problems. I don't know about you, but I think with us coming off the bye week, we may have a chance to pull the upset on the Bears. As far as the cap room it is about $20 million under the cap.

I have to disagree with you about Daniels.Yeah he is not a shut down corner but thats not our system now. He is above average and not having him out there HAS hurt the secondary.

I see what you mean. Not worded very well but I really like Daniels in this system. He played real well as a rookie and I think it he has great potential. At corner not at safety.

Rod Wright will also be in the DT mix. Looks like a good start.

I remember hearing that Matt Roth did pretty good in training camp and in the preseason games. He's in the rotation a good bit on the defensive line behind a really good veteran, Kevin Carter ... who played for the Rams when they won the Super Bowl in 1999. Matt has a really good mentor to help him get better with Kevin.

"Their line was anchored by Pro Bowl defensive end Kevin Carter and defensive end Grant Wistrom. Carter led the team with 17 sacks; while Wistrom recorded 8.5 sacks and 2 interceptions, returning both for touchdowns for a combined total of 131 yards."

One thing I did notice about Matt is that he has a pretty cool website ... a good one for a monster on the defensive line.

I hear that Kevin Carter likes to listen to a little Metallica before every game as one of his little pregame rituals. I can visualize Kevin and Matt hanging out in the locker room with a boombox running around like Angus Young jamming to some AC/DC and Metallica. :D

I just looked up the lyrics to "Thunderstruck". They should change the word Texas to Chicago. Do it for every road game. Who knows, it might keep them fired up before the game and at halftime ... whatever they gotta do to get a win this Sunday. We need all the revved up guys we can get. I want to see them put a look on Rex Grossman's face like he got a few jolts of lightning. Who knows, it might end up being one of those "I shook up the world" kind of afternoons in Chicago a la Muhammed Ali.
