Well the first thing BP and Company did was to improve our trenches and boy did they do a great job.

Bell has been the best secondary player and Joey hands down has been the best linebacker. Now I would like to who you think has been the most impressive defensive linemen, there are alot of options and alot of guys in the running.

I would like to say Kendall Langford but his time will come soon enough. And Jason Ferguson has some pull considering he is the most important position in the 3-4 but....

to me its Randy Starks 18 tackles 1 sack 2 tackles for a loss and an INT, And need i mention he is another central VA boy. It seems like we can put out some stud D linemen :woot:

So what do you guys think...which D linemen is has been the most impressive?

I'm extremely impressed with Starks. I did not expect what we've gotten from him. I am shocked. I'm also impressed wtih JFerg. I know what he's capable of and, maybe I shouldn't be surprised.....But, it's nice to see a dominating presence in the middle.

Gotta go with Jason Ferguson. Without him, our defensive front becomes swiss cheese.

Randy Starks has been impressive along with the young guy Langford. But most impressive by far is JFerg easily. He demands double and triple teams regularly and wins a lot of those matchups. This guy can move over 1/2 of an opposing teams Oline in our favor.

When he's not tackling a back for a loss he's opening up gaps for our linebackers and other lineman to do just that. Starks is awesome but Starks is Robin to our Batman JFerg on the Dline.

Jason Fergouson and Randy Starks is a tie for me they have both had great years

Starks has done a great job and hes always in position to make some sort of impact EVERYTIME he is in their and usually its during the DE spot whcih fits him BEST in a 3-4.

We 100% need to go with a SOLB in the draft and an ILB. we need to backers in that way.

Most impressive - Starks
Most valueable - Ferguson
Most short yardage stops - Holiday
Most potential - Langford

i say langford.. its great seeing a 4th rounder come in an contribute.. also gives us a bright future at the position

Isn't Starks a backup? Holliday, Ferg, Langford are the starters... so you have to go with one of them. Langford's run-defense has been "good for a rookie", but clearly worse than the other two guys. Not many sacks either. Here's my ranking:

1. Ferg
2. Holliday
3. Langford
4. Merling
5. Starks

I said the most impressive linemen not he most impressive starter....but i see your logic and Langford's play has been WAAAAAAY better then "good for a rookie"

Tie. Ferguson is irreplaceable on run defense and Randy Starks is the only D-lineman to consistently get pressure on the QB this year.
