who has been your favorite Dolphin Safety tandem of all time?

I wish we could have seen Louis Oliver and Brock Marion play together.

The head hunter and the ball hawk.

1) Jake Scott and Dick Anderson

2) Blackwood Brothers, Lyle and Glenn

Any coincidence that these guys were the starting safeties in the 5 Dolphin Super Bowls?

Strong, intelligent safeties make the difference!

i really liked knight and marion. and i really really liked arturo freeman
i want him back

Mine is Louis Oliver and Jarvis Williams.

Thanks for remembering my Homie, "Jarvis" Rixon. He's doing well and selling cars here in Palatka just to stay busy.

He is still a class act.

I still have my Dick Anderson autographed Dolphins plaque on my shelf... although the signature has faded abominably over the decades. And the first jersey I remember having was a Dolphins colors 13... after Jake Scott, but with my own first name in iron-on letters on the back... as was the style at the time.

So, yes, Anderson and Scott are my favorites... and anyone who watched the Killer B defense play couldn't help but enjoy the play of the Blackwoods. Big hitter Glenn seemed to be the more recognized player, but I thought Kyle was an excellent pass defender (and Kyle wore #42, the same as my favorite Dolphin, Paul Warfield).

Members of this board too young to never have seen Anderson and Scott are missing out on having seen the best safety tandem this franchise ever had. Sure, I remember Oliver and Williams more clearly, and imo they were the most atletic duo that we ever had back there, but Anderson and Scott were the s**t, and they`ve got the rings to prove it. Andersons four picks on MNF was unreal, maybe the best single game performance by a DB in history. A shame neither one is in the HOF.

Blackwoods

Has to be the Bruise Brothers, not the fastest but they brought the pain!!!
