In 2007 with the 9th pick in the draft Miami selected Tedd Ginn Jr. (and his family, LOL)
Ginn came in and put up 2086 all purpose yards and 3 TD's in his 1st season with Miami
It took him 7 games to break into the starting lineup as a receiver.
The next season he put up as many receiving yards as return yards as his return roles were decreased and receiver roles increased.
But only 4 total TD's in 2008. We all know the rest.
After 7 plus years Ginn has 10916 all purpose yards and 20 Total TD's

In 2014 with the 63 pick in the draft Miami selected Jarvis Landry.
Landry is on pace to put up 1924 all purpose yards and 2 TD's in his 1st season with Miami
It took him 4 games to break into starting lineup as a receiver

Pretty similar starts so far except for the draft position.

Who will end up being better when it is all said and done?

Ginn should have been better, but his penchant for making the great play while failing on the routine kept him from ever becoming any sort of reliable WR. As a return guy he was very good. Landry, provided he stays healthy, will always have a receiving role because he makes all the routine plays as well as the occasional spectacular. I don't think he'll remain a return man his entire career.

Ginn can't maintain as a NFl receiver starter. He is electric on returning kicks. Landry will excell as an NFL starting receiver, I predict a solid 2?

As far as fighting for the catch and being more reliable for his QB, Landry looks to be the better WR.
Though, can't deny Ginn's ability on returning kicks. 2 Return TD's against the Jets was a thing of miracles.

Ted Ginn was a tin man...no heart. Who runs out of bounds when they're 1 yard from a first down on a 3rd down play? Ted Ginn...that's who. 2nd biggest pansy to play for the Dolphins franchise behind Jonathan Martin.

Landry will have a better career and the only reason he's not on pace to surpass Ginn in total yards is because Ginn played on a team that had no receivers...I think Greg Camarillo was our best receiver back then.

I don't get choice #3. One is a speed demon who runs 1 route, avoids contact, goes out of bounds and has stone hands; the other is an on-the-slower side, good route-running gamer, catches in traffic, fights for extra yards and more or less dependably snares most everything within his reach.

Jarvis Landry is already much better than Ted Ginn.

He'll have the better career.

Lets give credit where credit is due. Ginn has found his place in the nfl. Not his fault that anybody who watched him play in college knew he wasn't going to be a good NFL receiver.

In all due respect to the OP (Interesting question) , I believe the answer is pretty obvious, and is equal to...Would you rather be punched in the face by Brock Lesnar, or given a massage by Cindy Crawford.

Is this even a question? Ginn was another wasted pick. Landry's a real player
