Seen this on ESPN on who has final say in the draft room found it interesting (and hopefully true) that Gase ultimately has final say on who is drafted. Key word is "contractually" was that really in Gase' contract??? I hope so...

Miami Dolphins: Describing who has final say in Miami isn't so black and white, because it is a collaborative effort among vice president Mike Tannenbaum, general manager Chris Grier and coach Adam Gase. Contractually, however, Gase has final say on personnel, which gives him the biggest voice in the room. -- James Walker

Interesting.... Wonder how much truth there is to that though

:lol: we were told it was a "collaborative effort" last year and Hickey had final say is in his contract.... didn't stop Tannenbaum overruling Hickey then and id be mildly surprised if the coffee boy is even allowed into the draft room never mind allowed to make picks

If you told me that water isn't wet, I would be more inclined to believe you than to believe this.

It's Tannenbaum's toy box.

it goes like this:

any good pick the fans like then gase made the pick
any bad pick the fans don't like then Tannenbaum made the pick.

Well If that is really in Gases contract, that kind of says it all, Final decision is with Gase .........It does make a lot of sense that it should be, and a smart HC knowing how much rests on these decisions should require it.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hope its true

and there are signs already of outside ( TannenBomb) influences

NAILED IT!!!!!!! :lol::sidelol::sidelol:

This was talked about already.. Tanebum picks the groceries and Gase decides what's for dinner.

Contractually, Gase has final say on 53 man roster, but he has no say on who is brought in or drafted.

Interesting we have a big contradiction here ... is it personnel that the post states or control over the 53 man roster. I mean I think it's obvious he'd have control over the roster, he's the HC....

Yeah, I don't remember reading anything on Tannenbaum overruling Hickey...

Ok. So Tanenbaum knows Gase wants to make steak, why would he buy hamburger? He wouldn't. He is going to do his best to give Gase what he needs to be successful. As for Grier, I don't buy that he won't be involved. Some people are just hating, now.

Round 2 draft pick last year, big argument between Tbaum and Hickery on that pick with Tbaum winning out . Thus the DT we got.
