Well Tannebombs suggested a poll and i think its a good idea as the board seems pretty split. So here is the poll.

Comment if you'd like. I wanna focus on right now because i don't think anybody will debate Tannehill has the brighter future

Cam won his division and I'm not sure about playoffs though. I need Ryan to win the division and make the playoffs. I also need to see him take over games more often and win them. My opinion.

Winning your division at 7-8-1 doesn't count in my book. He did go 12-4 1 year however

It doesnt? Would it count had Tannehill done it, and gave us a playoff birth?
Pretty sure everyone here would hold it against Tannehill if he lost in the wildcard round especially. I know i would. You should lead your team to a winning record or no playoffs

7-8-1 gives you last place in the AFC East. Perhaps the question should be who would you rather have as your QB?

Touche but isn't who is better right now practically the same question?

he was actually 5-8-1 as a starter last year, Derek Anderson lead them to two victories.

Good catch

I never was a fan of backing in, but these days as a suffering Fins fan, I'd take it because the playoffs are just the entry fee for another season where anything can happen.

I do want to see Ryan grab games and make them his. Not respond to the other team's scoring, but go out and win it in the 4th quarter regularly and with authority.

Good catch

Not when people take the Panthers making the playoffs as the deciding factor. Saw that argument beaten to death over the last several years with a certain team and QB to the north.

Not taking a shot at your poll at all just trying to put it in terms of individual talent.

Fair enough. I was hoping playoffs especially last year would not be taken into consideration. But it is open to interpretation. I think the future is alot brighter for Tannehill so which QB would you rather have should be a landslide. Looks that way by the poll too. I was expecting a little more love for Newton considering the other thread about this had alot of Newton defenders

With the NFL's #2 defense behind only the Seahawks. Funny how some pin all those accomplishments on the QB these days.

Tannehill without a doubt in my mind. However I'm surprised there are so many who voted for Tannehill, especially after reading the other thread comparing the two QB's. :rolleyes2:

They also pin all the teams shortcomings on the QB...just ask Omar Kelly.

I've seen enough Panthers games to know Cam Newton is not very good. He still struggles with inconsistencies, still late on throws a lot, he's still not efficient at going through his progressions but in his defense he only has one legit receiving target in Greg Olsen. Kelvin Benjamin was good in the red zone but flat out awful everywhere else. I would say more than half of Newton's INTs came when he was throwing to Benjamin. Benjamin often ran the wrong route, stopped his route or just plain dropped the ball. Of course everyone around here just looks at the stats and see the 9 TDs and think the guys a beast but whatever.

Cam beat Tannehill head to head the year before, and made playoffs not only last year, but another time as well. Newton also had fewer offensive weapons to work with.
