i think im one of the few that is glad fisher didnt land here. lets get someone who gets today's game. bring in chud or philbin!!!!!!
who is with me?

I think you can cross Philbin off the list.
yea i know, but i would love to see him here. the way the players, and even rodgers is reacting to him not there to help them prep shows alot. i know thier hearts are heavy, but its also him not there to prep with them. im trying to find the right words but its not really coming out right

You're not alone. If he would have signed here, I/we would have know he was just here for the money. I want someone who will take pride in being a Dolphin!

I'm with you. I wanted a young upcoming coach from the start. I really want Chud.

I really like Fisher as a coach, but I wasn't so thrilled with the idea of him having final say on football decisions.

Coaches with that power don't usually work out. There are some rare exceptions, but franchises like Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and New York don't let the coaches have final say on the roster.

I also like the idea of giving the job to a young assistant. Coaching is becoming a young man's game with all the time required so I hope we get a coach who brings in a lot of energy.

Glad we did not get Fisher, but I hate the way Ross let him drag the Miami faithful through another coaching blunder.

I'm actually somewhere in the middle. I would have been ok with him, but I would much rather have Chud or Zimmer.

You're not one of the few by any means. Some are just using Ross's inability to get a coach he never should have pursued so rigorously and wouldn't had there been a better choice of experienced ones available as an excuse to pile on and further their "hate the owner" crusade Now all the sudden, The Miserable Garbageman is being depicted as a saint instead of a hands off bumbling owner who started this decline :idk:

The recent polls I ran:
80% wanted someone other than Fisher

If Fisher accepted the Rams Job: 2/3rds Either were ambivalent, didn't care or would be happy as Rex Ryan in Gonzo's podiatrist's office

So again it turns out you're far from one of the few, just among the majority who's less vocal and with no particular agenda or axes to grind.

Personally I dont care one way or the other. I am happy it is over. It may have been nice to have Fisher with his experience but whether his hands were tied by Adams or not his overall record was so-so.

Might be nice to have some one fresh like what Harbaugh has done in San Fran (maybe Chud) but there is no guarantee that something like that will work out either. Also kind of wish that Ross could get over his pettiness about Billick and give him a shot, seems to me that he is someone that has the experience and the offensive prowess we are looking for, kind of the best of both worlds but that apparently is not going to happen.

But I am not going to sit here and continue to flame Ross for not landing Fisher. He wasnt comfortable with what Fisher wanted and whether anyone else here wants to hear it or not, it is his team and IMO he can make those decisions. Unless you are on your way to being a billionaire you as a fan can only make your words heard with your wallets.

Tired of all the "he used us", "leverage", "didn't want to face Belichick", "enter excuse for him here"
He made his choice and that too is his prerogative...One of the teams had to lose.

Tired of all the "Ross is an embarrassment", "Fins are the laughing stock of the league", "Fins will never be relevant".
Really if that is your view and you are embarrassed to be a Dolphin fan, go find another team to blow your money and time on.

It is time to move on, find someone else and hope that this time it is someone that gets the Dolphins back on track to greatness. A lot of the pieces are already there, it will happen, I just hope that it is sooner then later.
