Ahmed Plummer, the 49ers picked him in the first round and he has six years experience in the league now and he would be a good fit with the Dolphins to help lead a young secondary.
Although I do like the makings of this secondary, it needs a veteran player who can help the younger guys out, Will Allen isn't the guy, we got the wrong Will Allen, he plays for Tampa Bay.

How about LB, where it has been noted that we are thin at that position...
Chris Claiborne is the Lions former #1 pick out of USC and he hasn't really lived up to his potential in Detroit, but he might do better in Miami playing along side Thomas and Crowder.

Also, Tommy Polley is still available and he is a decent backer and has put up decent numbers along with Donnie Edwards, one of these three guys would make a lot of sense signing.

Here's a list

Law
Collins
Buckner
Peterson
Tom Nutten
Grady Jackson
Jay Fiedler
Tommy Maddox
Az-Zahir Hakim
Ricky Proehl
Patrick Johnson
Dez White
Johnnie Morton
Jonathan Wells
Lamar Gordon
Nick Luchey
Kendyl Jacox
Ron Stone
Brad Hopkins
Scott Gragg
Jason Fisk
Gary Walker
Jerry DeLoach
Brady Smith
Tommy Polley
Chris Claiborne
Joseph Jefferson
Tony Beckham
Jerome Woods
Lance Schulters
Todd Peterson
Paul Edinger

Not saying we should go after him but he is available
I like him, but evidently, his price tag must be scaring the Dolphins away, he has excellent numbers, but age is starting to catch up to him.

I would like to see the Dolphins sign a good LB and trade for another RB who can spell Ronnie Brown and keep him fresh like Ricky did last year. :dolphins:

No trade is necessary, we have Morris & Kay-Jay remember? I'm not saying they're as good as Ricky but they can do a good job IMO

I would rather trade one of those guys plus a draft pick for Micheal Bennett, he can plow through defenders.
Kay-Jay Harris hasn't done squat in the NFL and you automatically think he can carry the load that Ricky did?
You have to assume that Ronnie could go down with an injury and look at your options from there...it doesn't look so promising now does it?

Bennett can't stay healthy, I don't think we are going to sign or trade for another RB

polley

I was on the Polley bandwagon since draft day but have changed my mind as of late. I have read reports( sorry no link ) that he is more of a pull down tackler than a hitter. If he pulls guys down 3 to 4 yards up the field he really is not much of a help.

I heard that Chris Claiborne had surgery on his knees, but they said he is in excellent shape now and he might be worth a look, we need some depth at LB.

I think you need to read this article, Bennett is on the Dolphins radar and he can stay healthy, he was signed last year by the Saints to back up Duece McAllister...now they have Reggie Bush, so they have no need for him now.

Why doesn't anyone depend on Morris. He avg 4 yards a carry 2 seasons ago when we had a horrible O-Line and no passing game. I think Morris could step up and be a solid player not a superstar but a solid player. I think he is better then Bennett and more proven then Kay-Jay Harris.

Bennett has been to the Pro Bowl, last time I checked, Sammy Morris hasn't, that should end the debate there, beside Morris doesn't have Bennett's speed.
