If? Don't you mean when?

It's really tough to say right now. Philbin has some issue with Matthews, but he's good enough. Binns may or not be good enough, we're not sure yet, the injury last year set him back. And Gibson...he left practice limping the other day...that's not a good sign.

We'll see in pre-season, but right now I'd be leaning toward Gibson and Matthews staying, unless Binns really lights it up and Lazor loves him.

You are correct. "When" is probably more likely.

If our offense will feature more "four wide" and similar formations this year, we'll need every receiver we can. I wouldn't count out keeping six WR. Think of the impact having a still-fresh receiver in the fourth quarter against corners that are huffing and puffing. I'm glad receiver is finally a strong position for us.

none of the above, id expect more of a rotation from #2 to #4 with Wallace as #1.

i truly believe we will keep 6 WR's this year, this system needs fresh players every play, especially at WR

Gibson can easily be a hartline clone in the 4th wr spot. he was more of a hartline than he was than a slot in STL. we're paying him might as well use him. he can easily be used outside in a 4 WR spot on the outside while moving around wallave or hart to run a seem down the middle while landry on a slant. Gibson might be pushed back to 4. but doesn't need to be gone

I know it's early still, but I'd go with Wallace, Hartline, Gibby (if healthy) & Landry all day long, and let Binns and Mathews duke it out for 5 and/or 6.

If Landry is the starter it will be because Gibson is hurt, so I am going to say Gibson. If Gibson is healthy Landry won't be the starter.

Unless Gibson gets hurt again, he needs to be on this team. He was great last season. He can play inside or outside and is a good RZ producer. He got banged up on Saturday, but he is back out there today. I think Matthews is the odd man out if we only keep 5 receivers. He stepped in for Gibson on Saturday and did well, but I think it is clear that he is only being used as a slot guy. We have Gibson and Landry for that. I also think it depends on whether Thigpen makes the team. If he is our returner (I hope not), he will be used in the slot, not outside.

Unless we keep 6 WRs, I think Matthews is the odd man out. He is in Philbins doghouse these days and has a big uphill climb to make this team IMO.

i think binns goes to the ps. He is the newer version of juilus pruit hell make noise in training camp and wont ever be heard from again

Binns has played in too many games in his career to be eligible for the PS.

I picked both Gibson and other. Gibson, only if they don't think he'll be 100%, and can get decent value for him. but if Gibson can get healthy and pick up where he left off, then it'll be someone else.

I also picked both, if Gibson does not get healthy quickly, he is going to lose his spot.

I think we keep 6 if they all continue to show consistent good play.

Wallace
Hartline
Gibson
Landry
Matthews
Binns
