With Sage and Gus departing, who are we left with at backup to Dante Culpepper???

Cleo Lemon? We need another QB. What will Saban and Co. do?
 
josh mccown seems like a perfect fit. or maybe we can resign frerotte cheap? both may not get many suitors, which will be a positive for us. i wouldn't mind just drafting a rookie and letting him be the 2nd stringer though.
 
I say both Gus and Sage are outta here and Cleo battles in camp for #3 behind some FA pickup we get and a rookie QB who's either drafted or undrafted.
 
There are still plenty of solid backup QB's available in FA. I don't think the Dolphins are that worried about Culpeppers health or they wouldn't have realeased Gus. You could see a guy like Tommy Maddox coming here or you could see the fins drafting a QB in the draft, however if we traded this years 2nd round pick, thats more doubtful. If we did trade this years 2nd round pick, look for the phins to trade up in the draft and try to get that 2nd round pick back. There is still alot of talent at the end of the 1st round as there is at #16. Would be very wise to trade for more picks.
 
i think brock berlin will be the back up last resort if we dont find another back-up i have no idea why we got cleo lemon it doesnt even seem like hes going to get a chance to play
 
cleo lemon can be a back-up. hes actually been refered to as a smaller culpepper. irony...

agreed, I'd like to pursue McCown or draft a mid round QB possibly Jacobs to backup CPep...
 
I think a FA or most likely a rookie QB. What about Aaron Brooks could he be got for cheap, now that Brees is in town?
 
it better be some1 good, 'cause Culpepper will be benched 1/2 way through the 1st year.
 
definately Aaron Brooks, he might be cheap and would probably jump at the opportunity to start for a few games so he can prove that he can still bring it.
