With all this talk about the much improved Dolphins O line, I wanted to see who you guys think is our best O line guy? Also, who so you guys think will be around next year?

Jeno has been consistent, but never does anything to stand out. He has a very low penalty count, but IMO is not aggressive enough. He's probably gone after this year, he's owed 3.5 mill (or something like that) and is not worth that kind of money. I would rather see that go to a player like Hutchinson.

I agree the James has been the most consistent. But he is very average. Hadnot was very inconsistent but showed a little something now and then. It's weird that we have made such an improvement from last season, yet it's so hard to say who our best lineman is. I honestly can't say.

Our line is one of those all or nothing type deals. We have no one standout player that could go to another team and be a big individual, but a handful of consistent players that join to make a solid line. That's the way Houck's lines have typically been. I think that's a large reason why Stockar wasn't able to have unbinding success here -- because his individual talents didn't coerce with his gelling on the line so naturally.

Jeno I think.

While everyone else has struggled at different times, he's been fairly consistent and has had soem crushing blocks on running plays.

Vernon Carey. He hasnt given up alot of sacks and is a good run blocker.

James is consistent but isn't really worth what he's being paid. Everyone's pretty much improved up to average status. Haven't heard anything bad about Carey recently though

I agree especially since we are getting most of our running yardage on the right side. Good Job Vernon. Here's to a bright future. :D

I think our best o-lineman has been our o-line coach.....I think other than Seth they'll all be back...Seth is a free agent and could be back too but we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Ozzy rules!!

It's always good to keep in mind that what was true a month or two ago isn't necessarily true now, but honestly I still don't see Carey as being a "good" run blocker yet. He may develop into that. He made quite a leap from his rookie to second year, and he's been steadily improving as the season progressed...so he could make another drastic improvement from second to third year. IMO, the undiscovered country for him is improving his body and core strength. He's already improved his technique and concentration by leaps and bounds thanks to Houck.

He's got the look of one and with more time under Houck has the potential to become an elite RT. I'm not sold on Alabi as a future LT so perhaps a good mid draft prospect may fit the bill.

I'd have to say Hadnot just from the perspective of his versatility. Played reasonably well at guard , and was able to move to center without a hiccup (probably says a lot about how inferior Seth is). But nobody suggested James, McDougle, Carey, or McIntosh take center. So to me he was our MVP of the line.

The player people want replaced the most. Seth McKinney, until hurt, was the best lineman IMO in more games than any other lineman. I would have said Macintosh but he had a couple of games in a row that were subpar.
