Actually this has been discussed in NFL Network, after Brady Quinn and JaMarcus Russell who is the best QB?

Your thoughts?

Personally i like Quinn, Stanton, or Edwards over Russell in OUR system. I know I'll probably get some criticism for this though.

I like Edwards over Stanton... and when you look at value... Edwards with the 60th pick seems to make a lot of sense...

The thing is that one of the top teams drafting ahead of us that doesnt take a QB in the first will probably pull the trigger on one or both of these in the 2nd. That's what scares me. IF we dont get Quinn in the first, we gotta get one of these guys in the 2nd.

By far he is the best, in fact I think he has more accuracy then Brady Quinn, what Quinn has over Stanton is the xfactor that will to win.

But concerning Stanton i saw him in the Ninth Annual College Football All-Star Challenge this off season with Troy Smith and others. Stanton won hands down. He hit ALL Of the MOVING TARGETS, he far outshined all of the QB'S there. AS for Troy Smith he missed all but two targers and I think there were 10 of them!

Here is a clipping of the event and who participtated. If anyone has a torrent of it or know where to get it put up a link.

This show will open your eyes as to who Drew Stanton is and his accuracy.

Drew Stanton in College Football All-Star Challenge

Michigan State senior quarterback Drew Stanton is one of four
quarterbacks selected to participate in the ninth-annual College
Football All-Star Challenge at the Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami, Fla.
The competition is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. EST and
airs on ESPN Saturday, Feb. 3 from 4-6 p.m. EST. The other quarterbacks
invited to participate in the skills competition include Florida's
Chris Leak, Ohio State's Troy Smith and Boise State's Jared Zabransky.
The quarterbacks will compete in three events, testing their accuracy,
arm strength and scrambling ability.

i think troy smith is being WAY UNDERrated. he is a good QB, that will be a steal in the 3-4 round

I voted for Stanton. It's tough to know just how good he is, considering his lack of a supporting cast. Between receivers running wrong routes and dropping easy catches, and an OL that was overall rather suspect at best. it's a wonder he did as well as he did.
Put Stanton on just about any top 25 team and IMO, he'd be looked at as a solid first rounder now.
