Who is the Dolphins running back in 2014?

Doubt if Hickey would sign Blount. I would live the kid Bell from Detroit but believe he RFA, although I would like Blount and Kuhn in backfield.

I wouldnt want either Bell or Miller as my starter but I do like Bell's receiving ability. Blount is better . maybe we can sign Moreno or draft a guy

I'll take anyone except Daniel Thomas or Lamar Miller. Neither are capable starters, or even change of pace backs, and both suck at blocking on 3rd down. Get these arena football players off of our team.

Miller will be #1.

D. Thomas will lose his #2 spot to whatever rookie we draft in the 4-5th round.

this from Barry Jackson:

### There are several free agent running backs who would be an upgrade over Daniel Thomas, and Miami isn’t necessarily opposed to adding another back in free agency or the draft, according to an official who spoke to the Dolphins. But they also have given indications that it's not a high priority.

New GM Dennis Hickey was a fan of free agent LeGarrette Blount and recommended Tampa sign him, so Blount cannot be ruled out for Miami if he's available at a reasonable rate. But Blount wants his first big NFL payday after making $680,000 last season, and it would be surprising if Miami spends big money on a back.

Here are the free agent backs available and their per carry average last season: Donald Brown (5.3), Blount (5.0), Rashad Jennings (4.5) Knowshon Moreno (4.3), James Starks (5.5), Toby Gerhart (7.9), Brian Leonard (3.9), Rashard Mendenhall (3.2), Ben Tate (4.3), Ahmad Bradshaw (4.5 before early-season injury), Peyton Hillis (3.4), Jonathan Dwyer (4.0), Felix Jones (3.8), Darren McFadden (3.3), Maurice Jones Drew (3.4) and Andre Brown (3.5).

Dolphins GM Dennis Hickey said recently that he likes his running backs, a group that includes Lamar Miller, Thomas, Mike Gillislee and Marcus Thigpen.

I usually don't mention the homer pick just because he's from my school, but I want this guy as a Dolphin very, very badly:

He's an absolute stud. And for those of you who think RB would be a viable option in rounds 2 or 3, I have some news for you. He's a way better NFL prospect than Carlos Hyde.

Hill is a beast, but his off the field record most likely got him the chop from our board.

He's definitely made two stupid decisions that he should have known better from. For sure. No defending that.

But he's not a perpetual offender and I don't think he's one that would consistently give us headaches in the offseason. I'd draft him in a heartbeat.

Andre Brown would be my pick. Guy is better than most of the mediocre backs being named just had some bad injury luck.

I think Miami may sign a stop-gap as next year's RB class is looking *really* good.

the only thng about jeremy hill other than off the field is what mayock has even pointed out...he looks disinterested in pass pro and you can see it in the games... very good back though...i'd take him as a ball carrier over hyde any day

didnt run as well as expected which kinda surprised me... have to be willing to protect in pass pro...
