Who is the Dolphins running back in 2014?

the only thng about jeremy hill other than off the field is what mayock has even pointed out...he looks disinterested in pass pro and you can see it in the games... very good back though...i'd take him as a ball carrier over hyde any day

didnt run as well as expected which kinda surprised me... have to be willing to protect in pass pro...

Yeah, I agree with this. But can he be worse in pass pro than what the Fins had last year? That was historically bad. Anyway, the sample size for Hill's pass pro might be a little small. Other than play action on early downs, which Cam Cameron loves, LSU put Terrance Magee in on obvious passing downs.

But talk about a powerful and smooth runner. My God. He single handedly wore down defenses every game.

I wouldn't mind bringing in Ben Tate for a look. Either way, I think Miller gets at least one more year. Time for Thomas to go.

From what I have read and seen at the combine, basically no top RB's have any experience in pass catching or pass protection.

Everyone loves Tre Mason but the guy has never blocked a day in his life, so people hoping to take a RB that will take over Miller as #1, get ready for more blown pass protections and blitz pickups by RB.

Not on the roster atm. Dont know who it is though

Why Tate over someone like Andre Brown? I don't understand. Tate has been marginal in the most running back friendly offense in the NFL. Andre Brown has been a touchdown machine with a good burst when healthy. What am I missing, or is it the injuries thats scaring people?

He's definitely made two stupid decisions that he should have known better from. For sure. No defending that.

But he's not a perpetual offender and I don't think he's one that would consistently give us headaches in the offseason. I'd draft him in a heartbeat.

I have us selecting Hill in the 3rd with my mock

Toby Gerhart. Tough, physical runner that would thrive given an opportunity with more carries.

I usually don't mention the homer pick just because he's from my school, but I want this guy as a Dolphin very, very badly:

He's an absolute stud. And for those of you who think RB would be a viable option in rounds 2 or 3, I have some news for you. He's a way better NFL prospect than Carlos Hyde.

Did a review of Hill's game against Mississippi State and should be posting it on the Draft Forum sometime today. Hill is my favorite RB by a wide margin. I think a lot of people don't want to get too high on him, because they know the off-field issues will likely cause him to fall some. As a player, though, he's a 1st RD talent all day (in my book).
