I'm sure there's a few others worth mentioning, but then again maybe not, but Bernie is my favorite. I was so disappointed when he signed with the Cowboys to finish out '93. However, my wish was granted the next year. Granted, he wasn't the Bernie of old in Miami, but it was great seeing #19 out there.

Earl Morrall...we would not have had a 17-0 season without him......

Don Struck.....he was reliable year after year.

Very true. I don't think you thought this, but my comments aren't to say that Kosar was Miami's BEST back up QB, just my favorite. And I guess I should also give honorable mention to DeBerg, who was only with us for part of 1 season, but, who can forget that '93 Thanksgiving game at Dallas. He wasn't the reason we won, but I him playing. Man that was a good game.

I can also give you my least favorite backup QB: Ray Lucas. :tantrum:

Bump

Don Strock was essential in Danny's on the training.

The most important is undoubtedly Earl Morral. My personal favorite has to be Scott Mitchell though...or maybe Steve Deberg, just because he was so old already.

Oh I agree. It never sat right seeing him in a Phins uni. I always will remember that Monday Night game when Miami entered the 4th quarter leading, what was it, 30-3 or 30-7....something like that. Lucas helped lead the Jets back and win that game. I lived in Cedar Rapids, IA at the time. I was in a bar downtown, IN IOWA remember, probably the only fish fan around, and there had to be a stinkin' Jets fan in the bar to scream when they came back to win. Uggghh....that sucked.

Mine is A.J. Feeley for the simple fact you KNEW we were in a better position when he wasn't on the field.

thats too funny, I didnt know that there was people already selected in that poll. I was going to say Don Strock. Kool, that most of yu agree so far.

Definitely Scott Mitchell. He soften the blow when Marino torn his achilles.

I wasn't around in the 70's, was too young in the 80's so my judgement simply comes from the 90's on. Steve DeBerg in the year Marino went down was a guy who I think did a decent job even though the team couldn't win anything down the stretch. I recall a loss to the Giants where he broke his nose or jaw and came back and finished up strong.

Since I don't go back as far as some of you, I have to go with Damon Huard (though he's not in the poll). I think he was either undefeated or only lost once when he was in for Marino in 1999, and he directed a huge win at Indy in 2000 when Fiedler was down.
