Who is your favorite non Dolphin athlete of all time

Derek Jeter. Captain October. Best shortstop in baseball. I just love to watch this guy play. The guy is a 100 percent team player, i bet there isn't a owner, manager, or gm in the league that wouldn't love to have him on their team. He's deffinately on his way to Cooperstown.

:rofl4:

What a joke. He's not even the best shortstop in the American League East, nevermind baseball.

Manny Ramirez and Pedro Martinez. Unbelievable talents. Pedro's 1999 season was one of the greatest of All-Time. I'll never forget it.

Patrick Roy.

He was so good, you never saw him making a save where he had to dive across the net. He was already there, and the puck hit him in the chest.

Unreal.

you are obviously talking Ice hockey and not soccer shag

I was reading the Marino retirement speech posted here and it brought me back to when I was a wee bit younger. Only one other athlete brought me the thrills Marino did, and that was Dr J. Nobody will ever play basketball quite that way again.

Baseball - Ozzie Smith
Hockey - Mario Lemieux
Basketball - Michael Jordon
Football - Barry Sanders
Boxing - Ali
Golf - Happy Gilmore

Michael Jordan

I'll second that! No matter how obvious it seems.

I'll also give Gretzky an honourable mention, even though I'm not a big hockey fan. He was unstoppable in his prime, and even later on.

Glad Ozzie got a meniton here ... the most entertaining SS in my opinion to ever play.

football- Barry Sanders, that guy was just unbelievable. I like Brett Favre too, the guy obviously has a great passion for the game.

Basketball-Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson, there was also "Pistol" Pete Maravich, that was amazing, I've never seen him play live, I was too young, but I've seen highlights of him play and the guys was good.

Hockey-The great One Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux (I can't remeber how his name is spelled) Dominick Hasek, he was a great goalie who made some amazing saves.

I'm sorry I don't really watch baseball, but the greatest handful of players that should be mentioned are Babe of course, Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, Sandy Koafax, I guess Bonds, but Ted Williams definiltely has to be atop of that list, to .400 batting average like he did for so long, he was a great player
