Who is your favorite non Dolphin athlete of all time

Bo Jackson.
He is still a God in my book. Still have that great black & white poster of him in shoulder pads holding a baseball bat.

*laughs* at the thought of Jeter being the best shortstop in baseball. As for the topic of the the thread, Carlton Fisk and Pedro Martinez.

Are you a Sox fan??

Patrick Roy.

He was so good, you never saw him making a save where he had to dive across the net. He was already there, and the puck hit him in the chest.

Unreal.

Maintaining concentration through the Tourette's too. He's one of my favorites too! So many great ones.

I still would take Sweetness over Emmitt any day of the week. I respect emmitt, but I just really enjoyed watching Walter make it look so nice!

What a joke. He's not even the best shortstop in the American League East, nevermind baseball.

Manny Ramirez and Pedro Martinez. Unbelievable talents. Pedro's 1999 season was one of the greatest of All-Time. I'll never forget it.

Yeah, I'm a Yankee fan and Jeter is not the best shortstop in baseball. Best Leader? Yes.

The Greatest of ALL TIME and a Phin Fan to Boot, - ALI.

Damn, beat me to it. "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Rumble, young man, rumble!" He was before my time but I have seen every one of his fights. Ali made boxing into a great sport. Too bad there aren't any heavyweights that can hold a candle to him presently. My how the sweet science has decayed.

Since no one seems to like soccer (the second most beautifull sport in the world) I will give it it's due and say that my favorite athlete outside of the dolphins, is for sure, Diego Armando Maradona man that guy was amazing, in one game of the 86 world cup he scored the most amazing goal ever, dribbling 5 men including the goalkeeper to score, and minutes later he scored a goal with his hand, (which is illegal) but he did not get caught for it. Amazing.

I saw him play live like 4 years ago, he was like 40 something, in Mexico to play in a farewell game for one of Mexico's most important player (carlos Hermosillo for anyone htat is mexican) and he was fat and even with that, he had more talent, and touch and ability than any player in the field.

hands down best player ever.

In my book...to be the best...you almost have to transcend the sport itself. Very few have ever done such a thing...

1) Michael Jordan - The best. I was never really interested in basketball before Jordan. He had the ability to make you part of his dream..and you loved every minute you got to see him play.

2) Barry Sanders - He did things running with the ball...I still cant believe.

3) Tiger Woods - Unreal competitor

Would have loved to have been able to see Pele play though.

For Football, it was Earl Campbell the guy was unstoppable
