Since no one seems to like soccer (the second most beautifull sport in the world) I will give it it's due and say that my favorite athlete outside of the dolphins, is for sure, Diego Armando Maradona man that guy was amazing, in one game of the 86 world cup he scored the most amazing goal ever, dribbling 5 men including the goalkeeper to score, and minutes later he scored a goal with his hand, (which is illegal) but he did not get caught for it. Amazing.
I saw him play live like 4 years ago, he was like 40 something, in Mexico to play in a farewell game for one of Mexico's most important player (carlos Hermosillo for anyone htat is mexican) and he was fat and even with that, he had more talent, and touch and ability than any player in the field.

hands down best player ever.

My favorite sportsman was Eric Cantona. He was striker for Manchester United (soccer). The guy was a legend and irreplaceable. Although we've got a couple of kids, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, that are also going to be very special.

I still would take Sweetness over Emmitt any day of the week. I respect emmitt, but I just really enjoyed watching Walter make it look so nice!

He is also one of my favorites.I only picked emmett because I happened to have that gif hand.

What amazed me about Emmett was the way he always seemed to get 4-5 yrds even when the defenses were stacked against him.It wasnt power he used.It was more like finding the creases.

I have watched many Ali fights, and I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the people who he fought had almost no boxing skills what so ever. Yeah, he fought some great fighters, but some of them flat out sucked hairy ones. I guess all champs fight a few bozos, but I was watching one of Ali's fights on ESPN Classic last weekend, and I believe that anyone of today's boxers could have whipped the guy that Ali was fighting. (And probably much quicker too.) That's not the first time I've watched one of his fights, and come away with the feeling that the competition just sucked.

I didn't know that. I hated Ali in my youth and rooted for Frazier big time. However, over the years my view of Ali changed. He was truly a heroic athlete.
