Who is your favorite non Dolphin athlete of all time

its boring but its gotta be Michael Jordan, i just got his Flu game in the finals against utah, unbelievable that guy

My favorite sportsman was Eric Cantona. He was striker for Manchester United (soccer). The guy was a legend and irreplaceable. Although we've got a couple of kids, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, that are also going to be very special.

When he says we, he means man u not England btw--e Cantona was certainly a genius though all beit he had his best days in a leeds shirt :lol: . as for Maradonna i wouldn't put anyone who cheats in my top ten

I bet you feel Pat Tillman was a hero because he sacrificed materialism to serve a higher purpose (defending his country). Well Ali sacrificed his career, the most prestigous title in sports (Esp, back in his day) and was willing to give up his freedom because of his religous beliefs related to a war that history has revealed to be unjust. The Supreme Court of the United States ultimately agreed with Ali as well.
He was a man of integrity in my opinion.


What sarcastic barb are you going to lob my way now rather than argue the points rationally?

One last time. Can you name a Heavyweight Champ that fought better overall competition than Ali?

Yeah, I do feel Pat Tillman was heroic for what he did. You don't ? It's great (for Ali) that he stuck to what he believed in, but that doesn't make him a hero by any means. In no way do I think he was any less of a boxer for his decision. Ali was definitely one of the greatest boxers of all time. I'm not gonna say greatest, because I feel that there have been quite a few great boxers that would have never fought him due to their weight. Does being heavier really mean you have more skill ?NO. I guess you think the big guys are the only ones with any boxing skill , huh ?

Jaja, I guess I can understand the anger, but still he was more amazing than anyone i have ever seen touching a soccer ball.

He had fantastic balance, i would agree--Talking of soccer i'm surprisede that no one has mentioned Pele--my personal favourite would be Johann Cruyff

Cool, no sarcastic barbs. Thats a step up. To answer your question. I admire anyone who sacrifices their personal comfort for what they believe is the greater good (Sans jihadist suicide bombers, thats a bit twisted) , so yes I admire what Pat Tillman did. He was a man of integrity as well.

Do I think Heavyweights have more skill? Lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R U Kidding me? I.M.O. the greatest fighter of all time is Sugar Ray Robinson, a welter and middleweight. Currently the best fighters in the world can be found from 126 (Featherweight) to 175 (Light Heavyweight). The current Heavyweight picture is a joke.

Ali was a transcendant sports figure who became an International Icon. He's the most recognized and admired athlete of all time on this Planet we call Earth.
