Who is your second choice if we can't get Luck?

Lets say for sake of argument we end up with the third overall pick and we are not in position to get Luck unless we move up, let's say the order goes like this 1.Colts, 2. Rams, 3. Dolphins. I'm just going to assume Irsay and the Colts take Luck with everything going on with Manning, then the rams take blackmon, and were sitting at 3, do we take Landry Jones? Matt Barkley? or do we take a chance on Matt Flynn? Sign Orton and hope a change of scenery helps? what would be your second choice?
 
I'd say Landry Jones, but I'd still be incredibly unhappy. Being one pick away from Andrew Luck would be awful.

I don't want to live in that world. I like Landry Jones.

Go with either Jones or Barkley. Do NOT waste time or $$$, and especially NOT A DRAFT PICK, on the likes of Flynn or Orton. Failed veteran QBs don't improve with new scenery. Don't be as dumb as Arizona with Kolb or the Raiders with Palmer (who hasn't been particularly good since 2007). The only 2 vets who've moved on and were as good or better in their second stop as their first in the last decade have been Bledsoe and Brees, and both of them were displaced by kids who have turned out to be stud QBs in their own right. Personally, as a Bills fan, I think the Bills overpaid for Bledsoe, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he was still a good QB, and that the Bills mishandled the situation with their QBs in 2005.

I think you could add Kurt Warner to that list too.

As far as the thread question, I think its a toss up between Jones and Barkley at this point. I doubt anyone could really tell you qho is better right now. Just as a personal choice though, as much as I hate USC, I'd take Barkely over Jones.

I dont know much about RG3, but at 6'2'' 220Lbs I think he is too skinny to be a running QB. He would get crushed by LBs with his running style. Also, I'm not a fan of "running" QBs, I want a "mobile" QB.
 
orton and flynn will be free agents that is why i put them on this list, we would not have to give up a pick for one of them.
 
based on draft history, if Luck is unavailable, the Dolphins will draft Right Guard from Hawaii - Ino Blockyu

What if the Rams trade their pick to a team that takes Landry Jones for example.
 
A true elite franchise LT that way we can finally move Long to RT.
