Joey Harrington who has 5 years of NFL experience 4 as a starter.

or

Cleo Lemon who has 3 years of NFL experience, and never played a down ?

Actually I wish we had Gus as a backup. At least we know his limitations.

We dont know what we have with Harington or Lemon. They could turn out to be Feeley and Ray Lucas clones or they may turn out to be servicable.I dont know.We should get a better idea by the end of training camp.

We'll know a lot more in 4 weeks but my guess is the NFL experience will be hard to beat, so I'll go with Harrington. I would love to see Cleo push him, though, because that means we would have 2 servicable backups.

I don't like what I have been hearing about Harrington's performance in camp and we know how well he fared with his last team.

Lemon is young and has never played a down in a regular game but by all reports he is doing well in camp and had stellar reviews in San Diego. We have to keep in mind that there was a time when Marino, Elway, Farve and others took their first snap so I can't completely discount him because of his lack of experience.

Harrington is here for a reason but so is Lemon....we did give up a draft choice for him also to go along with Feeley in that trade

Whoever wins the backup job I am fine with

he didnt mean that cleos gonna become a hof qb he just ment that there was a time when they were given a chance to be on the field without any nfl experience.

although the obvious would be Harrington. I heard he hasn't been to sharp in camp. But he has skill. I would try him first in preseason and if it looks bad give cleo the chance.

I have a feeling Harrington has enough weapons in all area's to succeed. I mean if he gets in trouble he has a great two option outlet with Brown and McMichael, so his development shouldn't lead to too many mistakes.

I guess the preseason will determine who wins the backup role.

I hope they both prove to be solid players. In this league having competent qb's is a rarity and great for trade value down the road.

First shot I believe would have to go to Harrington, with a close eye and a short leash that is.
