from dolphins insider...saban talks about eliminating mental errors and gives an example:

"Last week against Jacksonville on the first third down of the the game we had a guy running the wrong route. He probably would have gotten a first down."

i'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, im just curious if anyone knows who it was.

My guess would be Chambers!!
If that's the case, let's cut him! Or package him in a deal with Ricky.:shakeno:

From watching the game tape, I can't tell who it was. There were 3 wr's on the field at the time.

It was only one play its no big deal mistakes will be corrected

If it were a third down where there was a sack and the right route would have resulted in a first down, I'm guessing it was a TE or RB. I don't remember the play and have erased the game off of my DVR, but I'd think there wouldn't be time for any WR to run a route long enough to mess up.

i think it was 3rd and 14? thats what it says at nfl gamecenter and in the thread above. given that, im sure it was a wr or maybe a TE but probably not a rb as in a 3rd and long most likely the rb will stay in to pass protect then release if there is no one to block. by that time the wrs have ran the coverage down field and a dump off could result in good YAC for a first down. if the pressure comes from 2 places or the back doesn't pick it up you will still get a sack. i'd guess that if the sack didn't happen because our o line didn't get in front of the defender, it happened because the primary ran the wrong route and it caught gus off guard then bam the pressure's there, sack.

i just checked the game on my dvr. couldn't really tell who it was , must have been one of the wr's. jax sacked gus pretty quick though. oh yeah got to love the 2nd play mckinney gets a flag. thats got to stop.
