Pssst...

It's cause he was hurt.

Or else, he would have come in before Deandre (I get beat when I'm stranded on an) Eiland.

I second that........

I say trade Dolly Madison also, He can't make plays and he always comes up with a stupid penalty at a bad time. We should have kept Pat and got rid of Madison.

Madison deserved it, he shouldn't have missed the tackle. He's getting old.:shakeno:

When have you ever seen madison stick a running back thus guy is glass good cover guy but cant tackle at all ...:fire:

next year our CB situation will be alot better when we have Will Poole and that Shirdonya Mitchell kid, next year Madison's spot could be in jeopardy

Yes it was...until it turned into a "trade Sam Madison" thread...

That is a brilliant idea....we'd have Daniels and Howard at corner and our nickel corner would be Mario Edwards...THAT would be ugly.

Besides the fact that we'd have Howard on the field EVERY DOWN, we'd also take the cap hit of trading Sam...

I'll take Madison whiffing on the odd run...because he is, BY A WIDE MARGIN, our best cover corner.

As you said, Madison won't be going anywhere due to the cap hit, but I would guess that Saban will find a replacement for him next offseason, particularly if his play continues to digress...he has had his 15 minutes of fame and even tho we'll have a weaker CB on the other side, teams will figure out that they can either run right at him or that he'll miss tackles...put the larger receiver on his side and exploit that weakness...but, we will have to endure that for this season, because he still is our best cover corner...

It had nothing to do with being old. He guessed that it was going to be a fake handoff, because it was 3rd and 10. He went for the big play (sack) and got burned. Nothing more, nothing less.

Saban ripped into him because he didn't take care of his first responsibility.
