We have scored 8 TDs this season and Chad has only been the QB on 3 of those. Hmmm food for thought, maybe instead of having two great RBs maybe we should make Ronnie a QB. lol Come on guys there was a guy wanting to make Zach a saftey a few years ago.

Trent Green(2007)
Game 1 - 87.5 QB Rating (Good)
Game 2 - 57.0 QB Rating (Bad)
Game 3 - 89.8 QB Rating (Good)
Game 4 - 55.1 QB Rating (Bad)
Game 5 - 56.3 QB Rating (Bad)
Overall - 72.6

Chad Pennington(2008)
Game 1 - 82.6 QB Rating (Good)
Game 2 - 67.1 QB Rating (Bad)
Game 3 - 113.7 QB Rating (Great)
Overall - 87.9

As long as Pennington has an overall qb rating above 80... we won't see Henne. Period. I would also remind people who want to see Henne... did you also want to see Beck last year? Or Sage Rosenfels? Or Brian Griese? Or Ray Lucas?

You do realize that Pennington was 17 of 20 with 226 yards, and that it was his precision passing and ability to convert third down attempts that put us in position to score on virtual all of our early touchdown drives?

I've seen a lot of crazy things on these boards, but insinuating a change at quarterback after such a tremendous performance is truly bazaar.

It never ends does it? There are some real idiots out there. Who would want to replace a QB that went 17-20 with 226 yds passing? I'll take that all day long. Pennington is doing excellent!!! KEEP HIM IN THERE.

wow, is it just me or is the tongue in cheek intent of the OP completely lost on you guys? I don't think he's really suggesting we change qb's...just pointing out it's funny that 5/8 TD's have come with Ronnie taking the snap.

Well, gee, maybe the OP is right ... after all, the world knows that Pennington just isn't good enough to take the Fins to the Super Bowl! :logic:

Tongue in cheek post

His original post was not suggesting replacing Pennington - Just a stab at humor by pointing out that RB was the QB on 4 of the TD's. I'd also point out that of the 5 Direct Snaps I witnessed RB scored either running or passing on the 4 that he kept the ball. The one that he handed off to Ricky we got a measley 20+ yard run and a first down inside the 10. So Ronnie should NEVER hand off when taking a direct snap!
Chad was tremendous the entire game avoiding the rush, putting the ball on target, and getting us first downs. As good a game at QB as the Dolphins have seen in the 21st century. I love his attitude, work ethic, and competitiveness. His average arm might not make you go WOW, but his efficiency will put you in position to win the majority of the time. He is doing this with a young line and "average at best" receivers.

Superbowl? After last year's 1-15 record, I'd be happy going 5-11 this year.

I cant even beleave after the blow out of NE that you would want to change QB now.:rolleyes2:

Like the OP, this was tongue-in-cheek. It was aimed at the legion of haters whose usual criticism of any QB they don't like is, "he isn't good enough to take us to the SB". Well, duh, first that supposes that the team is good enough to go to the SB (which the teams aren't to begin with but haters don't let facts get in the way of their hate), but that doesn't stop people from hating on perfectly serviceable QBs like Jay Fiedler, Drew Bledsoe, Gus Ferrotte or Chad Pennington.

Certainly the Fins would be closer to a SB talent-wise if they had stuck with Fiedler or Ferrotte rather than trading for Feeley or Culpepper. The Bills probably would have been better off if, having traded a 1st rounder for Bledsoe, had stuck with him instead of trading a 1st plus other draft picks to draft JP Losman.

For a rebuilding team that needs to climb the ladder from "bad" to "mediocre", Pennington is more than an adequate QB. He can make the climb go a little faster -- and he's an excellent QB for your young QBs to learn from.

IMO, the Jets erred by trading for Favre and releasing Pennington because they're more than just a QB away from playoff contention, and Favre probably won't be around for more than this season. The Jets' loss is Miami's gain.

WHew!!! I was begining to wonder how long it was gonna take for someone to figure it out. Funny how some people don't read the post just the title before they flame someone. Kinda fun to get em started.
BTW guys I think one of those Michelle girls would make a better HC than Tony. They may not make as good decisions but wow would press briefs be more fun.
