Who should start at FS.

Tony S. has said they want a playmaker at the FS spot, and considering the coaching staff has made comments this year and last about the playmaking ability that Jones has and his good work on the mental part of the game suggests they may take the chance on him. So thats who I would go with.

misconception. just because he's fast and has a knack for making plays doesn't mean he's a FS. i watched every game of his at georgia. dude is a SS through and through. he excels in the box - lays the lumber every chance he gets. more stiff in the hips and trouble changing direction than you'd like a FS to be. more comfortable in your face than over the top. tough telling the DB's where to be when you're all over the damn place. that job belongs to clemons - i'd rather the DB's be in position rather than a 'lucky' pick every now and again. good player. great pick. just keep the man where he belongs.

Me and you had the same point. I love Jones at SS and like Clemmons at FS.

Jones hasn't been tested this preseason, Tom Brady is gonna test him . . . hopefully he passes. I still like Clemmons right now, but Jones is gonna start I believe.

its no contest folks, jones all day. Not only is he a playmaker but the guy hits like a truck. He is the missing piece to this great defense. I believe sparano only left him out to play in the last preseason opener to let him get more experience, he needs as much as he can get . I have a feeling sparano is starting jones against the patrios.

Are you forgetting when Clemons brought the lumber to Big Ben, causing a fumble at the goal line that won the game for the Fins last year? (the ref stealing the game for Pitt is an entirely different issue)

I think even if they start Jones they will be back to Clemons before the year is over. Jones' mistakes will not be offset by his occasional great plays.

This preseason has been labeled with moving away from conservative play and starting to take risks, the FO will gamble by starting Jones, which is also what i want, i have high hopes for him

They are playing around with Clemons....it's obvious they want Jones back there - a alleged playmaker....if he screws up, then Clemons will go back in.

Book it....Jones is starting.

This sums it up the best . . . its almost like they are not content with Clemmons but know they will be ok with him back there . . . they know Jones is a better "ballhawk" and they also realize he is more of a "liability". They may greenlight Jones at first, knowing they could always switch back to old reliable Clemmons if need be. Ideally, they want Jones to start and win the job.

I think Clemons was 3rd on our team in tackles. He seemed like a pretty sure tackler to me.
