no one , just wait for the real draft , the supplemental has some players with talent but with a problem (well thats our expirience drafting out of the supplemental)
No we don't have to draft. If we do and win that person then we lose that pick in the regular draft next year. Say we sent in a 5th for Gaithers, if no one above us (from this years draft) bids then we will be awarded Gaithers and we lose that 5th in the regular draft. If, say the Lions, bid a 4th then we don't get him, the Lions get him.
And if two teams submit a pick for a player in the same round, then the player is awarded to the team with the highest of the pics based on previous draft order.
Using us and Detroit as above, if we both submitted 4th round picks, Detroit would get him because their pick has more value based on previous draft standing.
Getting Gaithers and having him beat out LJ Shelton at RT would be absolutely huge.
If I remember correctly LJ's cap hit is 2.5 mil. Maybe we could get a 6th or 7th for Shelton.
Trade Booker and his 3.5 mil and along with the space saved by cutting/trading Daunte the Dolphins would be in a position to acquire a top tier player, either this year or next.
Pittsburgh may yet let Faneca go.
What if Palomalu opts for free agency next year? Maybe he would enjoy playing with some of the other polynesians.
Asante Samuel will be available in 08.
How would Samuel and Palomalu look in the Dolphins defensive backfeild?
