After re-looking at our upcoming schedule, I noticed we played the Jets 2 times in a 4-week span, with New Orleans in the middle, and NE right after.

I'm more confused about playing New York twice in 4 weeks.

Anyone know why they did this?
 
yeah its a bunch of crap, we play them twice before we play the patriots one with no divisional games at the end of the season. Being that we have the hardest schedule this year you would think they would have thrown us a bone.
 
same people that made us play on monday night and then travel to the west coast to play san diego
 
Well that is why they said it was a tough schedule. I was acutally looking at the Jets games as some of our easier wins this year so did not think it all that bad at the beginning of the season. Really that Monday night game against the Colts really took a toll before the San Diego trip. You really cannot measure a schedule like that but the players start loosing a bit of focus and bad things start happening. Especially on the injury front with after a big emotional Monday night game where everyone brings it. Then travel accross county which plays with the sleep and rest and you start getting injuries and sloppy ball. San Diego was a very winnable game but Ronnie fumbles in the end zone and you loose your QB to a relative easy take down. The ole body only has so much juice you can milk out of it then bad things start to happen.
 
Why does it matter? The Dolphins are going to run all over the Jets. They may combine for 1000 yards rushing between the two games.
 
Yea why does it matter. Makes for better drama if you ask me. With the win/loss for either teams still fresh.. it makes for great TV.

Guys, the next 4 games are tough but after that the schedule really isn't that bad for the rest of the year.
 
jets have to play us twice within 5 weeks also. it sounds pretty even, at least we have a by after them so Henne can get more comfortable with the offense and we have an actual shot against New Orleans.

I can care less if we do not run all over you guys.. i just want one more point on the board giving us the win. Come on even you should agree dolphins need this win more then the jets. Esp that afterwords we vs. the Saints.
 
I'd really hate to lay an egg vs the Jets the first time, and then play lights out aginast New Orleans. Doesn't really matter how well we play vs New Orleans, they will outscore us.
 
I like getting the jets out of the way early.. that way we dont have to hear from their fans for the rest of the year lol.. jk I like 1 or 2 of the jet fan posters on this site.
