From a stand point of coaching... I think Saban knew JP wasnt Gonna start against Fins this Wk, after being pullled the Beginning of the 4th Quarter last wk..

Would that explain why he was soooooo adamant about the players not gettin hyped up about leading the div.., and all the injuries as well???

Mularkey's mid-week antics about not naming the starting QB didnt matter (at least to Saban) in the least bit..


I think he knew this all along and already prepared our d-fense to play against Kelly Holcombe 1st, and make any adjustments on case JP does come in...

I truly believe that this contest will be a chess game, and with Saban making the moves Mularkey will be out coached....
 
Gamplanning for JP? Yeah. Stand a couple yards ahead of where the Buffalo WR is and catch it like a punt.
 
I think he prepared for both, the coaches have had 2 weeks to get a gameplan ready so I dont think who starts is going to be a problem. If we lose this game it will be because we didnt play well, not because the coaches didnt have a plan.
 
He said they were gameplanning aginst both QBs so it shouldnt have caught the fish off guard.

they wud have to gameplan for both QB's anyway IMO because Losman has been benched twice already this season i believe.
 
Just to let you know, im a female and every time i put a post here , somebody always criticizes it... i've been a fin fan since i was 8 yrs old, and im 40 now, so i think i know a lot about the team and wheres its goin...
 
Saban said that the team was preparing for both QBs and nothing has changed since the Bills named Holcomb to start.
 
does it really matter who starts??? we are talking about kelly holcombe.....not peyton manning......or gus frerotte:lol:


seriously, I think that it is safe to say that saban was preparing for both of them......
