I think you've got the wrong year or number, Miami drafted Wade Smith at 78 in 2003. The other 78 that Miami got from New England through New Orleans for Tebucky Jones, I think we traded for 85 (Minor) and 88 (Greenwood). Not sure.

James Atkins wore it in 2002, but never made it past the preseason so he was never really a Dolphin.

Yup, you're right, he was. From 1990-2000 Richmond Webb was #78 for us, and when he played for Cincinnati he was #73.
