Sorry guys! My internet connection went out on me and I couldn't post the poll on my other similarly named thread.

Ok, this is the polar opposite of the thread I started last week. I want to give props to the guys that set us up with great field position.

This was a tough one for me. It was down to O.J. McDuffie, Fulton Walker and Mercury Morris with me. I was an adult when I watched O.J. play and he was one of my favorite players, so I went with O.J. I'll always remember that awesome leap he made over a Colts gunner in a 1993 game for his first return for a TD. Nothing against all the other nominees. They all contributed in a big way for this franchise and helped us win games.

What do you all think?

Gooota go with NAte JAcquet!!! I thought he was great

Nate sure was good. At one time during the 1999 season (and after a fair amount of punt returns), he was leading the league with some sick average like 19 YPA!! He helped us win @ the Patriots in 1999 by consistently setting us up in good field position. That was the game where Dan's first pass was intercepted and run back for a TD. Dan came out of the game and Damon Huard's second or third pass was ran back for a TD and this was all in the first few minutes of the game. I remember we scored on a Huard bomb to Tony Martin, and that got us back in the game. New England's offense wasn't able to do much against our "D" and we just kept kicking field goals. We eventually took the lead for good when Damon Huard threw a 4 yard TD to Stanley Pritchett to win the game. One of the most exciting games I've ever seen!

Wes' return against the Patriots in 2004 stands out in my mind, so I've got to go with him.

That was a great return against the Patriots. I remember him just tripping over his own blocker (Will Poole, I believe) and falling down at the Patriots' one yard line. I was jumping out of my chair going "****! ****! ****!" because he was so close.

Actually, the game I will always remember was the other Patriots game in 2004, the one where he kicked a field goal, extra points and returned punts and kickoffs. AND THE GUY HADN'T TRIED KICKING A FIELD GOAL SINCE HIGH SCHOOL! That was awesome.

Joe Auer. He took the first kickoff in Miami Dolphins history to the house for a touchdown.. ya have to look at them all....

I'm not old enough to have watched Mercury Morris or any of the older guys, but Welker is definetly the best returner we've had in a long time, and the best I've seen since I've been a fan. Every game, it seems, Welker almost breaks one. He should've had a lot more TD's then just one, and I am looking foward to seeing him get one this year.

Its gotta be Tommy Vigorito...he was the Original Wes welker...

I've seen the highlights of that return with partial owner Danny Thomas running down the sidelines with Auer.

I have to say that was such a premonition of all the wonderful things to come for this franchise.

For those of you who never saw Mercury Morris play, the guy was electric. He was a 1970s version of Barry Sanders. And he was such a perfect compliment to Csonka. Shula would beat the **** out of the other team's defense with Csonka and they'd be too tired to chase Morris.
