When it was first announced about Flores becoming the next head coach I really doubted we would close the deal. Especially when NE kept winning in the playoffs. I thought we would screw this up again. I thought BB would offer him something to stay in NE.
Even after the SB win I was still nervous .

Your concern was valid, especially after McDaniels pulled a Houdini act on the Colts last year. And because, well...we’re the dolphins and that sounds just like something that would happen.

But I don’t pay any mind to stories surrounding the Dolphins until it’s official. Get it in writing! Good rule to live by.

This was nothing like the McDaniels situation. McDaniels was/is a hot commodity with plenty of options.

I did after it was confirmed that he called the plays that limited the highest scoring team in the last 2 years to the lowest total score in SB history. Thought Belichik and Kraft might have tried to find some incentives and promises to retain him.

I wasn't worry. He might turn out to be a great HC for us but at this time, we really don't know how he'll do. If I thought there was a chance we were getting BB 10 years ago then I'd be worry that he might change his mind.

I'm 1000 times more worried about who grier is gonna pull the trigger on at qb in the next few years that we will stake our next half decade in.

What reason was there to worry? McDaniels bailing on the Colts doesn't instantly mean that every team waiting for a superbowl-winning coach is going to get let down. It's not like that was the first time that a team had to hold out for a coach in that situation, and in those situations enough formal agreements will be in place to mean that 99.9% of the time everything will be fine.
