who watches the game afterwards.and how many times?

ok i do have a life i work as an electrician for the local goverment.i happen to work alot 60 hrs a week but when i have free time i watch the games over and over lol.why ?because i want to see what i missed and im a lot less harsh on players after i know what the score was.i look for line play if henne stares down his wr and how bad or good the play calling was.
so do you guys watch the game more than once and why?
 
I do it more in the preseason, because the games are on a Thursday or Friday for the most part, and with no college football or NFL on Saturday/Sunday and me fiending for football, I'll rewatch those games and focus on a few guys, or the line play or the QB in general. When the regular season starts, I find myself having no time to watch the games and by the time the weekend comes, I'd rather watch college football and on Sundays obviously NFL games.

Then again, like on Monday, I had time, but I saw enough the first time to know we were bad on defense . . . and I don't care to rewatch that again, I just want this Sunday to get here.
 
I usually do.. but I couldn't stand to this week. I was so frustrated the whole time our D was out there. I couldn't subject myself to that again.
 
I do because there's things you miss watching in live because you're amped up and mainly paying attention to the results of the play and not the individual play but the amount of times I watch the game depends on the outcome of the game and the type of game played. I'll typically only watch losses twice sometimes only once. Wins ill watch a handful of times especially if its an entertaining game opposed to a sloppy 13-10 type game
 
I tend to watch Dolphins games two or three times and focus on different aspects (o-line play etc) on each viewing, just to try and improve my overall knowledge of the game.

I skipped the defense this tiime. Just wanted to see the offensive series and I only needed to see that twice. Game was so frustrating. I feel better about scoring from the 10 than I do the 2, gives us more passing room. Other teams make it look sooo easy.
 
I always do, I watch the shortcuts and keep rewinding it to see how the offensive line did, I like to see who gets to the second level on running plays and who does a good job in pass protection.
 
I rewind each play and watch it over for every player in view so that I can see what every player did individually on each play...
 
I'm on my fifth time right now. It's more enjoyable this time around because the offense did gain about 500 yds of offense. The reason is the same one you listed.
 
I still watch this game every chance i get.

i usually re-watch every game at least once, focusing on different things. you always miss stuff the first time around. this week's game was such a disappointment defensively, i deleted it immediately.
 
This is one reason I've come to love DVRs. I call it watching game film since that is as close as I will get.

Where I live in Gainesville Fl I have to have Direct TV to see Dolphin games because of being in the Jag's Off area.

While the game is on, I pretty much just watch it, watching most plays a couple of times and some plays several times then FFing though commercials. As I watch I have the game stats at NFL.com and I mark in my head and sometimes on paper the plays I will want to come back to.

I have to say that at least one reason I watch the game again so carefully (just certain plays) is reading comments on a number of forums about a play and/or player. One thing I learned years ago that semi surprised me was how many had not seen the game. They often get info on chat boards like one I'm on in every game. Or they saw a game once and listened to the booth guys. I mean this is two ways. Few people can see a 6 second play one time and see everything that happens. Impossible, at least for me. The 2nd thing is that what the guys in the booth say will count in fan's ideas of the game. A play by play guy is sometimes way off saying that so and so really missed this play and everyone knows the announcer is wrong later but the crew forget it over correcting it. I've seen fans write about just what a color guy in the booth said. (just look how what John Gruden said took off)

I like the DVR because it gives me a frame by frame shot of plays that I can pause and really look. I like to zip and see who lines up where on plays. On some plays to figure out where some players are you have to give a guess based on who you can see and knowing football. I even watch where players come back into the screen to figure this out.

Only if we win do I watch a game all the way though again.

Instead now I go from play to play and to certain plays. I might start writing some things down I see in the plays/game. There will be 10-15 plays that I will watch 20 plus times.

One thing I saw in our last game was that T Brady played like a MVP, he was awesome. God could not have stopped him. IMO, the Patriots and the Colts are 80% "super QB" driven. As P Manning goes down, so does the Colts, they become a 6-10 team. Same will happen with the Patriots although they being smarter, they keep drafting and coaching good QBs to replace Brady.

My point is that we are not going too see another QB who can attack us that way. (until we play the Pats again) Every other game we play this season then should be easier then the one we played on Monday night.

Anyway, back to the question. I might watch a game 4-8 times. I've seen every play at least 10-15 times But each time I watch it I'm watching fewer plays but watching them more. The last time I'm maybe studying 2-3 plays.
