Who will back up Ronnie this season?

i loved the pick we used on lorenzo booker b/c at the time i figured ricky williams stopped smoking grass, but now that he wont be a factor this year, there doesnt seem to be a proven backup on the roster

booker seems more like a 3rd down back which is fine but not a guy that we can rely on if ronnie goes down

patrick cobbs has yet to prove anything in his young career

jesse chatman hasnt carried the ball in an NFL game in two years

are there any free agent options out there?
 
Despite what you think, Booker will be the #2 and likely Chatman will be the #3.

Also, there are some FA names on the market(Dillion, C. Brown), but Miami has already stated they have NO interest in them and are happy with what they have.
 
dolphins should also trade for fanaca so he can pave the way for ronnie and his backup!
 
did u see chatman run in SD before he gain all the weight and got canned. He avg 6 yards per.

This is the same kind of thinking that got Wannstedt fired and ran Saban out of town. You have to BUILD through the draft. If you start spending your draft picks on aging players you won't have the ammo to build through the draft.

Thank God Mueller and Cameron are in charge who understand that you need to build through the draft to win chapionships and stop with the patchwork. You could bring up the point about trying to get Trent Green, but Miami is throwing a 6th round pick at KC, nothing higher. Alan Faneca would require a much higher draft pick.
