Who will be the first decent player to get cut in the Fins training camp?

Mods, Tried to make a change to the header but it posted, can you merge these 2??

Evans is likely gone, but not a surprise to anyone at this point. Culpepper too.

We are thin at linebacker and on the offensive line, so I think even less than decent guys make the cut there (although Toldeo or Lewinski might be in a little danger if we get Kendall). Frankly, I wouldn't be extremely surprised to see Schlesinger get cut if Regan comes on strong.

If PK Sam has a good camp, I'd also look for us to move Booker if someone's receiver goes down.

I completely agree great post!

What made you think that Evans is a DECENT player?

the first decent player to get cut will be Michael Lehan

I would say Marty Booker, but it makes a lot more sense to trade him. I'd like to see him moved for an early 2nd day pick.

False. Michael Lehan will probably make the team as the 5th DB over Mitchell and the others we have. Michael Lehan has starting CB experience as well. I'm not saying he's great, but I don't see any of the others beating him out....maybe Shirdonya Mitchell. But, he certainly won't be the first cut.

I'll probably say Evans or Culpepper. Culpepper will be gone much quicker depending on the Kendall situation in New York to free up cap room to bring in Kendall.

I thought you meant big name in the NFL. I was going to say Pete Kendall anyways.

I just don't want to make the same mistake we made last year. I was pumped to have Fred Beasley but Barnes beat him out. After we gave Barnes the job, he stunk up the joint. Now we have a grisley vet who has been solid in the past and a up and coming rookie who is, well, a juggernaut. We should hang on to Schles though, he's still got at least another year.

LJ Shelton.
With Rosenthal, Toledo, and Alabi, they have a cheaper veteran and cheaper youth. I dont think Shelton is that much better than any of them.

Without Shelton we are in big trouble at the right tackle spot. Rosenthal has never really been more then a serviceable backup who can hold the fort down for a game or 2. Toledo, if ever healthy, has never really played tackle and when he does in mini camps, he gets torched. Alabi showed some promise in his first year but what has he done since. I think there's a HUGE drop from Shelton to Rosenthal/Toledo/Alabi.
