Who will Miami Franchised?

I hear alot of teams using the Franchise tag and then I think about our Maimi Dolphins and knowing we have several key FA. I wonder who Miami will place the tag on. We all have read by now that Miami is making Carey a Priority, but Bell, Crowder and Goodman would remain to be sigined. He is what I think. I think Miami will resign Carey and Goodman and will place the Franchise Tag on Yeremiah Bell. I dont see Miami signing Crowder.

What do you guy think.

I don't think we will use it on anyone. Bell will get signed without it. The others...I don't think there is concern if they walk if they want the money it would take for the franchise tag...

The franchise tag requires you to pay the player equal to the highest payed player at his position in the league. There is nobody on this team worth best-in-league money. Our franchise tag will be unused again.

I agree, I don't think there is anyone who is a free agent that deserves the Franchise tag from us. The only person I think that COULD get it would be Vernon Carey. The others I would say no to.

I thought it was an average of the top 5 paid players at the position.

Guys....it's and average of the top 3 players at the position...not the top player.

That said, if anybody gets tagged, it's Bell. But I doubt anyone does get tagged. It'll go unused, which is good, because it saves us cap room that we can spend on a Suggs, or a Jason Brown...

hopefully no one. the Franchise Tag is used to protect your best players from hitting the market, but it comes at a very high price. i don't think any of our FAs is worth the average of the five highest paid players at their respective position.

Yes...or 20% higher than previous years contract for the player. But that really only comes into play with the ELITE players in last year of big contracts or 2nd straight franchise tag.

But Miami does not have a player free agent worth tagging...for sure!!!

we wont franchise anyone. if BP and company want to sign somebody, they will sign them. the FO doesnt need a franchise tag.
