As long as the coaches have a truly open competition, I think that we will be improved here. Brock made plays, largely b/c teams didn't test our CB's a whole lot. But, Brock got beat a good bit.
I like Edwards - he played well at Green Bay last year and he has a ton of talent - moreso than Freeman.
There's a lot of talk about Yeremiah Bell also. He is a guy that has a similar history to Ogunleye - great talent shown his junior year, injured as a senior and therefore slipped in the draft.
I think we are better at DB this year than we have been in our history. We got rid of a real weakness at CB and have upgraded with two solid players (Howard and Poole). We also have Chris Atkins at S. He's a solid backup who can start, but who also will add a great deal to special teams.
