I am just curious as to who you guys think will be the starter next year. Feel free to throw out any names of college players who might be drafted/acquired or anyone else besides the guys we have now.

Too early to tell, I need to see Henne in a few games first before I can come to any decision. As for Penny, I'm sorry to say he's done as a starting QB, could be done as a career only time will tell.

i'm just gonna say henne b/c if he's not the starter next year and we have to do this whole song and dance again - my head might explode.

Why not drop PW and pick up tim tebow? :hump:

I really like Tebow's toughness, even after he got killed by that Kentucky player. Many people think that NFL defenses are too fast for a spread offense to work against it but I don't think this is the case. You look at how hard the Colt's defensive players were sucking air trying to contain the Wildcat, which is just a variation of the Gator's offense under Tebow. Unfortunately our defense couldn't stop anyone :rolleyes2:

If Tebow was our QB, we could move Jake Long to the Right Tackle spot as Tebow is a lefty thrower, and I think Ginn and Bess would become much more effective as it opens things up. I guess it just depends what direction the FO wants to go. I don't think the Wildcat is a gimmick, but you have to have better play calling and I think Dan Henning is too predictable. If we could bring in a offensive coach like Mike Leach of Texas Tech, or someone who runs a similar system, I think it could work at the pro level.

Colt McCoy...LOL '

NAH I REALLY HOPE ITS HENNE...But he needs to prove it we can't be unsure and still have him starting next year missing all these good College QBs coming out...that could cost us another 2 or 3 years in developing our team to a becoming perrenial playoff team as we were with MArino....I miss the 17 straight 8-8 or better seasons...we need to get back to that...I think we get a big-time WR before the start of next year and TE

Henne will be the man.

For a FO that loves bigger players.....I find it strange our #2 and #3 Qb's are 6'0 and 6'1". The odds are definitely stacked against you playing QB in the NFL at that size. I know Thigpen was a need and there was not much to choose from......but to have two younger developmental Qbs of that size is not ideal.

Really does depend on how well Penny plays for the rest of the season and how well Thigpen adapts to the system. It's Henne's job to lose at the moment, so you would think he and hope he is the guy. If Henne doesn't play above average for the reminder of the season, next years camp could be a real battle between the two.

Sam Bradford.
