We've got locked Chambers, Ginn, Booker and Hagan and there has been a lot of speculation that P.K. Sam could be our 5th WR because of the size, speed and hands, but what do you tell me about David Sutton who is about 6'5" and runs the 40 beneath the 4.4 secs. plus word says that he makes "unreal" catches, although there are somo more to consider, including Kelly Campbell, Az-Zahir Hakim and others...

Please post any comment!

hakim's chancing of being cut were greatly increased with the drafting of ted ginn for his return capabilities... personally i think sutton might be kept on the practice squad but he lacks experience to be a top 5 WR... my choice for #5 would be P.K. Sam, he's shown some potential with his strong performances in europe

The only way I see Hakim making the team is if Booker gets traded. Hakim has more experience but that is not exactly what you are looking for in a 5th reciever. Hakim has been in the league for 9 years so you pretty much no what you have in him. What you would like to see with that 5th wr spot is a guy who is fast, and physically talented who you can develop. I think Sutton is that guy.

good post, well said, i concur. with all of it, just havent seen the sutton kid play yet. but yea, i guess i'd say him or Sam

what has david sutton done that everyone is high on him? I search for his career stats and he has a total of like 5 catches? Am i missing something?

Kelly Campbell has no chance. He is already injured and with Ginn and Lorenzo Booker on board, there is no need for him in the return game.

I think it will be a battle between Hakim and Sam. Hakim currently has the edge, but the coaching staff might want to go younger for the 5th spot.

Hakim hasn't been the same since his Rams days. Campbell is a veteran but hasn't accomplished much in his years in the league. I think Sutton and Sams have a good shot considering they're both tall WR's with good speed. Other than Hagan, we don't have any WR over 6'1 and that could be a detriment in the red zone if we can't run the ball effectively. Sams could get the edge if he performs like he did in NFLE or Sutton would if he shows promise.
