What did they do that was so great other than acquring Smoot? Cowart is ok but they will be playing him outside which is a mistake, Sharper is done, they lost a pretty good player in randy Moss. What did they do to make one believe they will be a SB team?
 
whoever picked the fins in the sb, Miami Vice (or whatever city you're from) will be knocking on your door soon. You should've just said NO to drugs.

I'm not saying that Vikings will win the SB. But the have done a LOT to strenthen their defense. Sharper is NOT done. Smoot is a huge upgrade. Now they have 2 legit corners. Pat Williams is still a force. If you don't see how they have improved their defense..well...oh..that's right. You're a Jets fan. :lol: Bennett will have a breakout year. Moss is gone, but he was a distraction. Addition by subtraction is what that move was. Williamson is very raw but has the ability to make plays downfield. Point is, the Vikings will be one of the most improved teams on the defensive side of the ball.

They have improved their D but not as much as the "experts" tell us. Like I said Sharper is done, he was a detrimant to the GB D last year, Cowart will be playing out of position, I forgot about Williams he'll be good inside and they have good corners BUT they have Ted Cottrell and he is an awful DC. His onyl good years were when Wade Phillips was the HC and involved in the D. On O they lose the best WR in the game and they have an overrated Culpepper who always chokes in big games and that was when he ahd #84. Bennett is ok nothing special and we'll see how good Nate Burleson is w/o Moss occupying double and triple teams.

The Vikings would not make the playoffs in the AFC and they'll struggle to get there in the weak NFC.

I think the Vikes might go all the way. Damn Its hard to make predictions in the NFL.

You're right Cottrell does suck. But damn, I dont even think he can mess up with the talent they've added. We disagree on Sharper though. I think he still has something left. Bennett is playing for a new contract (this is his final year) and with Fiason and Moore there, he needs to put up or shut up. I think he will. He better, I drafted him as my third back in one of my leagues ;) . We all know Dante can choke as well as get his roll on. The O will be fine and I think the D will be much improved.
