I personally don't think Pat White or Michael Vick are ideal Wildcat QBs.

The Wildcat QB should be comfortable repeatedly pounding the ball on the inside, against big 300 lb linemen.

In terms of running the ball, Ronnie Brown was the perfect Wildcat QB. However, he didn't have the rocket laser arm.

Are there any NFL RBs who are fast, powerful, comfortable pounding the ball on the inside, and also have a good throwing arm?

Pat White and Michael Vick are more suited to be the motion (jet) man. That way they can keep it and run to the outside using their speed to get around the edge, or throw on the rollout. It makes absolutely no sense to put Pat White or Michael Vick (or Ted Ginn, or anyone like that) as the triggerman. For that, you still need a guy like Ronnie - a bruiser who actually is a threat to run up the middle.

I don't know why everyone thinks Pat White would be the triggerman in a wildcat set.

Do you think we can get him?

I suppose if we gave up enough for the first pick. We certainly won't get it from our record. We don't really need him. I like Pat White, but maybe it would have been wise to trade up next year and snag Tebow instead. Who knows, it will take years to get the answer to that question. :(

If you're only running the Wildcat 5-10 times a game, then he can probably take the punishment. Gotta remember the fact that he can pass should make the defense not sell out to the run quite as hard.

So you want a Dan Marino/Earl Campbell hybrid? Not gonna happen. The person you're envisioning doesn't exist.

If he not then your threat of pass is still greatly depleted thus realy making him a high draft pick kind of pointless
