If our Dolphins had dreadful seasons this year and the next, who will be fired first: Tannenhil or Gase?

I say Ryan- if his contract allows it.

it depends on why.

if tannehill plays poorly, they will try to trade him. if they can't they would cut him.

i think he has two years left on his current contract, so that wouldn't be an impediment.

if the team's a mess in general, gase gets canned.

I say both go in the same offseason. Technically, I think Gase will go first but it will be the same offseason

If Gase doesn't draft a qb these two are tied to each other and exit at the same time if the team doesn't turn around.

Tannehill goes first.... but in a Alex Smith way imo.

2018 draft 11th pick Baker Mayfield
2018 season Miami makes wildcard playoffs
2018 off-season Miami trades Tannehill
2019 season Baker Mayfield becomes new franchise QB

Well 1st off, Miami will probably not come close to taking Baker, but if by some huge luck, if they did draft him, he would have to prove himself against Tannehill with an actual good O-line that can be counted on to protect him.

If Tannehill is healthy, Baker or whomever the backup is will find it tough to overtake Tannehill for a while.

Seriously? Now? Why aren't we discussing best available coaches in 2022? Cause after GASE gets sh!tcanned, I'm assuming his replacement will be dog crap also. Whats our 2022 cap looking like? C'mon, aren't we getting "a little" ahead of ourselves here?

Coaches always seem to go first. No salary cap implication, and players just seem to be harder to come by.

It won't be Tannehil or Gase.

It will be t-bum or Gase. :)

No one knows what can or will happen in the draft. Players with no chance of falling...fall every year.

I obviously was going out a limb there.

I can't imagine a scenario where a 3rd coach would roll with Tannehill as oppose to drafting his own guy. Like has been said they both go in the same offseason but Gase gets fired before Tannehill gets cut/traded.

If we cut Tannehill before the 2019 season we'll take a 13mill cap hit to go along with the 13mill dead money we're taking with Suh.....that's 26mill for two players not on the team. Tannehill will be here in 2019

Ozzy rules!!
