It's preseason. Our biggest problem on the offense ( Skill player Wise) is once again QB and has been since Marino's retirement in 2000. It looks like we beat in the Feeley deal, and most of us are satisified with what Frerrote has shown us the past few weeks.

Nobody on this board was excited about brining in Brock Berlin. IM sure nobody on the Pats board was excited when they drafted Tom Brady in the 6th round a few years ago either. Am I saying Berlin is Brady? Of course NOT! Am I saying there is a chance that teams find good players late in the draft or after its over? Sure, look at Ogun. Undrafted FA.

We all agree on this. Brock has looked sharp during the limited time he has had to play. Better than anyone on this board thought he would look and his POISE has been great for a Rookie.

Why not let him play a few series with the first team O and VS some real talent out there? I can't help to think this has crossed Saban's mind also. What if he turns out to be the best option? Or at least shows enough promise that he can and wants to take the top spot one day, unlike this clip board holder SAGE, who only wants to play during preseason. Anyone remember Rosenwhored vs the Packers a few years back? HORRIBLE!

id like to see him first play in the second offense and if he is still being effective there then i would like to see him in the first, but right now its too early to tell for that

Good lord we must have some University of Miami homers here :) No way Berlin is a starting QB in the NFL, he barely weas one in college and could only perform well out of the shotgun in a two-minute drill. Give him some second team reps and that's about it.

I would like to see brock with a clipboard in his hands while the first team is on the field. None of us believes he is better than Gus, and most don't think he's better than AJ. I think it would be taking away valuable reps from your real potential starters. I vote no.

While I agree that you have to walk before you can run, there is nothing to lose. If Sage is the guy that is seeing some snaps with the 2nd team, we all know where and who he is. The QB we all have questions about is Brock. Not AJ not Sage, Brock!

Nobody is saying " Let Sage have a chance at the first team" We have all seen what AJ can do and none of us are happy. What if we give this kid 2 series and he actually moves the ball in the same way he did vs the srcubs? What do you do then if you are Nick Saban? Seriously Dude, what if you stick this kid in VS the Steelers and give him 2 series with the starting O and he moves the ball downfield and punches one in? He scrambles like he has been doing and finding the opening WR? LOL!

Give the kid a chance!

Give me a break, im not trying to be negative towards anybodys post but this one berlin starting for us is the most rediculous ive ever seen. I realize that Brady was a 6th round choice, but come on what are the chances of a dimond in the rough like that again. He had ONE good pre-season game against a team that does not have much depth when putting in their 2nd and 3rd string defenders. Brock didn't even have a great college career, and Ray Lucas pulled off better pre-season stats than him. He will be a decent NFL backup at the peak of his career.. lets not pull the trigger and get too excited!

Dude you are WRONG about MOST OF US. Have you seen the other POLL? Where it is who would you rather keep Brock or AJ and like 150 people have voted and 63 pct want to keep BROCK!

So MOST OF US want to keep BROCK!

Crap are you talking. At least Brock has scored a TD in both games he was in. What has Feeley done.

Feeley is nothing but a waste of time, money and eyesight. This guy sucks. Point Blank.

That is the whole point, let him play and see! You can't SUM up this kids career saying where he will be, now that is RIDICULOUS. Marc Bulger, Matt Hasslebeck are a few other surprises in the NFL. Volek is another nice surprise. Let him play and see. One thing is for sure, he looks more mature than AJ does, no doubt.

I voted yes..thats what preseason is for. He has earned a shot.

i htink he equally earned a shot with sage, i think sage should be with the first string on saturday then we should give brock a shot if he does good wiht the second team and let gus sit out a game, just a suggestion

Feeley sucks. Yes i agree. But Berlin is playing against guys who will not make the final roster of most teams. You cannot judge based on playing against 4th stringers. Give him some reps with the second team in the last pre-season game (when starters play very little if at all) and then judge him.

I'd like to see him play early just to stop the insanity on these boards. Berlin will probably not make the team, much less start. He was not good enough to start at UF, and he was not a good QB at UM. Aren't we tired yet of giving career backup quarterbacks the chance to rebound their career's as our QB?
